Yes that will be great, so what do I need to indicate on the film roll when I drop it in? I guess my name and contact is a must.
How long is the processing time for developing a fresh roll of neg and scan to CD without print? Lastly, where is your letter box? just infront of your shop?
Name and contact no. will be fine. Usually, collection is on the next working day. Please call me for the exact location of the letter box cos' it's 3 shops away.

Simon, some question for you.
1. What is the resolution? Depends on customers?
2. Roughly, what is the size of each pix scanned?
3. Lastly, how many rolls can be fitted on 1 cdr?
Thanks.
Default rest. is 700K (pixel dimension). Pix size is 5x8. Resolution 72 dpi. 1 CDR can contain 11 rolls. Pixel varies from original neg. scanned.

Hi simon , what do u mean by 8R for 2.50 for members? members of??

I already dropped 1 roll of neg in your letter box. And it is really hard to find. Took me almost 15min or more to locate it.
BTW you said your resolution is 700K (pixel dimension). Pix size is 5x8. Resolution 72 dpi. But what I used to get from my previous lab is 1544x1024 pixel, 5.15x3.41 inches, 4743168 bytes, 300 pixel/inch in JPG format.
So question is which resolution is better? :dunno: Possible to scan at this or better resolution if yours is not as high??
Thanks you

Ok, simon ...hmm... guess it seem like it will be a long explaination. But anyway, at least you can tell me if the resolution of your scan will be same or better then what I use to get? I will likely to collect during Sat Morning and I hope it is ready for collection.

The machine will crop about 5mm of your picture. So, please have allowance on every side when taking picture. But if you crop the picture to the exact size using other software, print out should be same exact size. Try our machine to know the truth.

Hi Simon, what do you mean by "crop the picture to the exact size" ?? Any specific pixels, say 800x600 or sthg for 4R??

I had sent my pictures to you for developing and true to your word, the pictures were cut by 3mm. :( I need to redevelop some and would like to know how I can avoid the "cut" again.

Apologies if this has been asked b4 :embrass:

regards.

Hi nakspud, usually you just need to set the size to 4" X 6" (min pixels is 1024 x 768) dpi is between 72 to 300 and CROP it. This is the exact size. So no cut will happen when you print again. If still in doubt, call me anything during office hours.

will be coming down to yr shop for neg scanning later today.
how do i get the discounted price? by saying the magic word "Clubsnap Member" ?
see ya.

Simon, thanks for the prompt reply. I shall be visiting real soon now.

Developed over 250 photos (4R) with Simon. Collected on Monday. I'm happy with the result and the good price!

Simon's shop is highly recommended!

Next, I'll be asking him to convert negatives from my wedding day into digi photos... and perhaps print a couple of S8R.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for your reply. I'll try to re-size the pictures.

Is it possible to email or upload the files to you for printing? If so, where can I send them?

Thank you.

regards.
