Just wondering if this is a norm...i have updated to the latest firmware 2.30...since 2.20 one of the added functions was that u can adjust the focus point for normal shooting mode (initially was only for macro). Problem is everytime when i press the adjust button and uses the adjust focus, eveytime when i wanna change my settings using the adjust button it always go to the bloody adjust fouc point mode...even after taking a shot it still does tat and i have to off and on my cam to be able to do other settings using the adjust button...its getting on my nerves...any of u facing the same problem too?? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

I have been researching on Ricoh recently.
On the Ricohforum site, it stated that from that screen/mode you encountered, you just have to move the Adjust button left / right & the display will show whatever other function you have stored in the Adjust button & move on from there. No hang.
How is your GDRII BTW?

Wow, the model cars are very cute. The 'male model' also cute.

I am looking for a square format camera....was considering Ricoh GR Digital II and Nikon P5100.........and how about Ricoh GX200?

Oh no....I can't make up my mind. Did anyone did a comparison on these cameras....? Like a photo comparison to show GR Digital II VS Nikon P5100?

Can someone also tells me the difference of GX200 and GRD 2?

Any price update for these cameras now?

Thanks!

I had been waiting for the Sigma DP1 and rushed to buy one when it arrived. It's slow response and plastiky feel turned me off and I ended up with a GR-DII. Even the finishing and coating of the 21mm lens are impressive. Tiny unobstrusive size, quick response and great optics make for a potent combination.

It's been awfully quiet here in the GRDII thread. I had just managed to get my hands on a 2nd-hand GRDII and is enjoying bringing it everyday and taking photos with it. So much so that my P6000 is now resting in the dry cabi even though it has zoom lens.

The WB correction feature (same as on D300/other DSLRs) is brilliant and its compact size + awesome handling makes it a wonderful DC. Not forgetting the minute amount of distortion for a wide 28mm lens.

Pardon the saturated colours. Should have left it untouched. But this shows the usefulness of the WB correction.

BTW, anyone know where can get a GRD other than online auctions?

Hi guys, a question (or two), how much does the original battery cost? And what about an OEM? The originals should be readily available at Alan Photo/Cathay etc, right?

And what about the wideangle/teleconverters? :dunno: They are quite hard to find online in ebay, too.

try alan foto simlim, or cathay foto

New GRDII firmware update 2.40 avail now.

why people choose GRD2 instead of GX200 ?? they are both the same, but GX200 got optical zoom. i know prime lens usually are better, but on small sensors it wont make much difference.

hello, just curious, what's the major difference of GRD 2 & GRD 3??

sensor and lens on GRD3 are better. AF speed improved in low light too because of F1.9 lens.

Camera House(Melbourne) was selling the GRDII for AU699 2 mths back, now its only AU550. And I also can get a 10% tax return when I go back... So its about AUD500. Really tempted to buy..

Anyone know the price of GRDII in Singapore now?

960 with 8gb card, ricoh wrist and neck strap, ricoh case.
