how's the AF at low light situation? Is it much faster than the K-7???
Damn.. those ISO.. i don't even push K-7 over 1600. over that, i feel too much noise liao..

Both the LV and regular AF work very quickly in low light and there is a green AF lamp. It is hugely faster than the KX, but I don't have a K7 to compare to.

k k thanks for the Feedback.. appreciate it. :)

Hopefully is a better improvement over K7, Even though there is a Green AF lamp, sometimes, It would hunt and sometime won't even focus.

Setting them free... :bsmilie:

The new DA 35mm f/2.4... you'll be surprised just how light it weighs. That's the new Pentax Optio RZ10 in the background.

maybe can test out the new DA 35mm, with the DA 35 mm limited and FA 35 tmw..

A word of warning... once you play with the K-5 you will fall in love with it. In a nutshell it beats the K-7 in EVERY department.

Two things to take note:
1) Buy the fastest SD card you can get (ie. Sandisk Extreme)
2) Use your best lenses because this camera will quickly differentiate between quality lenses versus mediocre lenses. Lenses you thought were acceptably sharp previously will now show their deficiencies.

I can safely say except the ergonomics?

Must use good lens only? Liddat cannot sell my FA31 liao. ;)

1) To get a good fast SD card is for the 7fps shooting and shooting videos? Is class 4 sufficient or better to get class 6?

2) Bro, you tried the new DA 35 on the K5 liao? Is it a good match for K5?

Nah, I'd have to disagree with you on this. Even the K-r has adopted the same finger cutout on the camera grip like that of the K-7 and K-5 that was first seen on the K20D replacement rubber grip. It just feels more secure. You're probably not yet accustomed to the ergonomics of the recent cameras...

You got me wrong. I mean since the k7 and k5 are practically using the same body, the k5 should not be improving over the k7 on this. And yes, I do prefer the k5/7 ergos to k10d. It fits like a glove.

So when's your turn for the K5.. hee hee..

damn.. i am so deeply tempted to pre order,
the price which is unknown but with they keep saying it's a good price.. ARgh....
And if the AF is so much better at low light, it really make me want to jump in. If i have the mojo. :sticktong

Got the chance to play with one this morning.

I can say now, I'm hanging by the thread... Can somebody PM me Ronald's number? :sweatsm:
