Gopro. I have never been so pissed off before!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a Gopro hero3 today, and I have never been sooooooooo pissed off before!!!!
The wi-fi remoted failed!!! Failed the moment I unpacked the package!!!!!
I'll call Cathay tomorrow/Monday to see how they can help, but I don't put the responsibility on Cathey but F@#king GoPro.

For those who know me, when I complains then the product is screwed!!!!!!!!!!

If you are so easily 'pissed off', save yourself the aggravation and don't update the firmware. Or else you might burst a few blood vessels when your GoPro starts 'hanging' frequently and require the removal of the battery to get it working again. Very inconvenient if you are the type who like to keep it in its waterproof casing all the time.

Can clarify, is it the remote that doesn't work or the wifi doesn't work ?

Cannot use the iOS app to monitor and control your GoPro with your iPhone or iPad only.

Just replace the the whole set from cathay photo. There are bound to be defects, not all productions are 100% clean and neat. Since you just bought it, exchange for a new set providing the receipt.

So if we buy the LCD Touch BacPac, we do not really need to monitor with the iPhone so no need to upgrade the firmware, rite ?

Bcos it is more troublesome if the Hero3 keeps hanging !

I'm sure if this is a bug in the current firmware version, it would be taken care of in the next update. Wish I wasn't that kanchiong to update my GoPro.

To be honestly, I'm not a person that can be "pissed off" so easily. In fact this is the first time I so pissed, given the item is not that cheap and supposingly an item you can it up the sky and down the ocean. It should not be so fragile.

Just to up date a bit. Guess what? Cathay told me to brought back the remote together with the cam. End up cam also not working at cathay place, they try to charge the cam but it was fully charge when I brought it out from home.... Now the item both item is with them and I waiting for them to remedy the item for me.

It looks to me that it is either I'm very unlucky or this brand name is not so reliable, but I'll say I'm very unlucky for now.

Alot out of the box dead already, and some died suddenly ( mine included ). Although i got a entire set new when i sent it back to them, I have since sold it off.

Was actually looking at contour until the Gopro 3 was released, decided to go back to gopro. hehe

Maybe you just suay get one dead out of the box.

When I send down to Cathay, they try to charge it. The LCD shown it is charging, but we couldn't get it to start recording.

Well... Will see how it goes from here. If really really a product with such a hassle than I really suay, but hey!!! I'll not be more suay than Foxxcon who just bought 9% of Gopro's total stake.

Camera updated with a new firmware.... I'm keeping my finger crossed.....

Still haven't collect from Cathay, will collect it on coming Saturday. The firmware was updated by the sole distributor, will post result later.

I just got the HERO3, update the firmware.
So far not giving me any problems but the video quality not much diff from my HERO2.
Video playback runs slightly slower on a PC.
No doubt the size is slightly compact but battery life flat out easily.
