On a lighter note, when did Nikon start working with McDonald?;p

Why not... when they can work with coffee?

Next time buy a Nikon they'd give you $200 worth of garlic chilli sauce! :sweatsm:

Nikon D95... With a built-in McCafe maker.

My favorite Macdonalds burger - The Quarter Pounder - They got rid of it.
My favorite Macdonalds breakfast item - The Mcbiscuit with sausage and egg (cannot really recall its official name liao) - they got rid of it too.
And now they are getting rid of my favorite chilli sauce.

Nothing much left for me to go to Macdonalds already.

May I know how long were the above first two items phased. Cos never hear of it before.

It's a clear sign of cost cutting even for franchise giants like Mac. Even the points system is gone. Perhaps more people are going for Heart Attack Burgers...

Will heart attack burgers really come to singapore? oh man, its gonna be a real sight with some old nurses picketing against the syt.

australia still have quarter pounder..even have the double quarter pounder :)

Think the official name for the second one is called Sausage Biscuit with egg. Taste softer than the current McMuffin. But the current McGriddles 'bun' do remind me of the Sausage Biscuit.

Quarter Pounder as I remembered was similar too Hamburger in contents except for the meat which was a better cut.

Well, they brought back the Milk Shake, maybe something might happen.

Beer, Burger & Babes! A recipe for a heart attack alright. :D

I bet if ever there will be one in Singapore, it will only be a 'mild stroke grill'. :D :D :D

You forgot fries cooked in PURE LARD, BEER and cigarettes.

Yeah, it will end up like the local Hooters - lame, and limp-spirational.

While I was in Canada during 96-97, they introduce the super-sized mega bigmac and mega quarter pounder. 4 pieces of meat for the mega big mac and dunno 3 or 4 pieces of meat for the mega quarter pounder, cannot remember exactly. Only tried the mega quarter pounder once only. Forced myself to finished it and skipped dinner for that day. :bsmilie: Stick to normal quarter pounder or at most the double quarter pounder after that.:bsmilie:

Suddenly I suspect I know why they remove the quarter pounder. Notice that the local Macdonalds burger meat had become thinner and thinner over the years. The quarter pounder name promised a quarter pound of meat, they cannot reduce the amount of meat given, so they remove it from the menu all together.

It all goes back to COSTS. Macdonalds still dare to increase price while making their burgers smaller and smaller.:thumbsd:

Thats why nowadays I prefer to eat subway. Much healthier and value for money as compared to mac. The veggie patty(Aka Garden Patty) is

Subway is good, lots of veggi and have choice of brown bread too. Used to eat them a lot while in Canada.

What's the big deal

In Singapore, one of the best places for burgers is Seah Street Deli at Raffles hotel. It's huge and is stacked to 8" high if you order the big ones. Just be prepared to pay some $30 per person for a sandwich meal. Most Singaporeans will not be able to finish a burger with the fries. It's really huge and can be split into three portions.

As for heart attack burgers, its one of the latest craze in USA. I don't think it will ever come to Singapore... but at least there is hooters... o_o

Those who had been to hooters in usa will see a noticeable difference in boob sizes. ooopsy, not for minors...

One you tried a real American burger, you will equate macdonalds' miserable portion and quality just for kids.
