I didn't get 500d ha ha ha, but I tested it at vivo canon and also MS color.

Feels the same as 450d, so it'll be small and plastic, however the grip material is different, so there is a slight improvement. The video is super good, 720p is enough, no need to take at 1080p. But dun use the AF with video, cos you can hear the AF motor winding in your video. Ha ha ha. Just use MF, and MF will be faster than AF cos AF uses contrast AF.

All in all, it'll be a very good beginer buy I feel. Becasue of the 15mp, and Digic 4 and the new 3" LCD (920 dots), its a vast improvement over 450d.

But I bought 50d.
