Don't worry ... the commanders will leave a convincing ... "easy lifestyle" in camp when you send him off.

Welcome back!

Which coy are you in?

Well, life in BMTC is very very different from unit life...
Everyone starts from humble beginnings right?
Although BMT is tiring, but it was rather fun... :)

alpha platoon 1! ;)

for the sispec thing.. the graduating date of my batch coincided with the intake period of sispec.. needless to say.. most of the people went in.. (garang or not.. haha)

Well..
I would rather go into OCS rather than SISPEC..
Wonder if you guys have heard of the term Suffer In Silence Plus Extra Confinement?? ;)

OCS is a better choice IMO..
But seriously, there are some "wayang kings" that got into OCS because of their incredible skills of "wayang-ing".
To these people, I respect their ranks, but not them.
heh.

The choice is not yours sometimes ... some people got in without any effort ... or enthusiasm ... chance is slim though if you fall in this category

Pokka

Your batch has a higher intake of OCS cadets than the September ones. So you better buck up if you want to go there.

choice?
if he has...not everyone was/is that lucky to have such a choice.

i not 'scholars' in poly leh. my results mediocre.

Actually, it is more or less pre-determined if you are going to OCS or SISPEC. Your ECAs also play a part. If I recalled correctly, there is a some test that is done during BMT by some external evaluators to see who can make the cut to OCS, that is also one of the determining factors ...

Anyway, if you can make it to OCS then good for you. Otherwise SISPEC is also a good alternative (plus 10 yrs less reservists) ... if you did not make the cut for either ......

(as the army song goes)
Whacya wanna be ah?! Cook, clerk, storeman! .... HAHAHA :D

But just to ask, don't you think that the calibre of OCS officers are going down the drain?

I am in SAFTI, and the cadets that I see everyday... hai.
Some of my friends (who IMO CMI, and are wayang kings), got into OCS!!

PS: I'm not a OCS instructor though... :D

CAMERA! Aiyoh, so basic thing also can forget!

A good attitude is also a useful thing to bring in...

better don't bring lor, not suppose to bring any cameras or hp with camera into any army unit without any clearance, especially when u're just a recruit, unless u wanna end up spending ur wkends or PH in tekong doing guard duty ;)
