Give me back the "Photos of the week/month"

We hear ya! But to sustain a POTM/POTW beyond a certain number of weeks requires commitment not just from the persons (not necessarily Mods) who will have to think of the myriad ways to run the POTW/POTM, not to mention the sifting of entries, posting up, etc.

Since the interest level is high here, let me just state that we WILL reinstate POTW/POTM - how, when, where and what will be decided ... soon!

We want to encourage more people to go out to shoot to submit shots... the STF.. Sony Talk Forum in DPREVIEW seems to have a nice model running...

I think it's a great idea! :thumbsup: Reading throught the posts, there are some points that I thought was good.

To hold it fornightly instead of weekly or monthly so that there is sufficient time yet not too draggy to kill interest.

To have a theme, so that there is an aim and it wouldnt always be the same type of photos.

Besides this I would also suggest a "special mention", to maybe encourage newbies. Won't be fun if the pros keep winning all the time! ;p
