Thanks, Wildcat!
Funny how you mention that the wide angle lens help me to create a nicer image.
I've been cursing this lens on and on coz I need to do a lot of correction on the perspective distortion.
Probably I need to learn how to use this lens more properly![]()
WC#4 - the landscape series.
Though there are many foreground elements, I find it uncluttered and not messy, the tones compliment this very well, in my pov lah..
I like this
Ok. I looked at the pavilion picture... it is tilted to the right, but very little, around 1 degree.
It may look much more tilted because the water edge of the reservoir is not perpendicular to the direction of the camera angle. Also the buildings are no help because the ones on the left are nearer, and they are of different height.
Another issue, there seems to be a little keystone (perspective) distortion as well and that was not taken care of properly... that made the outer pillars (especially the big one on the left) lean in, making the picture look more tilted that it is.
So, it is tilted, but only a little. But the way the composition is done, and the keystone distortion, made the whole picture looked a lot more tilted than it is. The way to fix this picture, is actually to shoot it much wider. So some of that effect is minimized.
Good to see so many of you are becoming verticals police... Will become good lanscape and building photographers... but also, remember to take it easy a bit... after all, it is just a picture. Well done folks... keep up the good work.
Oh no my bad to post such a tilted picture
I have been trying very hard to straigten it , but somehow it just look tilted.
Will try to shoot with wider angle next time
Any other bros with station 2 picture??
Thanks to Ghaz1 for organizing the event. These are some of my shots from the outing. It is a wonderful scene to view the sun rising over the sky and shining down onto the reservoir.

I thought you all going to shoot at the jetty.
Nvm, the sky is pretty today. Here my shots:
Canon EF-S 10-22mmWhat lens are you using? Nowadays I am too lazy to be bothered :embrass:
Thanks for the compliment, JacobYour pictures have great quality & awesome! Hope to see more!!!..
Btw, I want to ask you, why do we need to turn off the IS?
Good use of boardwalk railings as leading line to the sunrise
Splendid shot & lovely colour saturation..![]()
@Wildcat : Yup. That "thing" is jetty. U shot from the other side. Interesting. WC#5 small version is better. The big version can see the noises very obvious due to either sharpening or fill light
Nice place for resting..
