GF1 Price Updates and Accessories

any one knows what are good quality filters eg cp, uv, even ir ones that fit GF-1? if can share info where to buy and price even better, thanks.

Just got mine black GF1 from Panasonic road show by MS Color @ amk hub (very limited stocks)

Lumix Camera Bag +
8gb memcard +
hard screen protector +
free Fujifilm 50 prints voucher +
extra camera bag (with mini-tripod, memcards holder, cleaning kit, soft screen protector)

Special privilage: ask for consideration of SGD200 top-up for (14-45) lens within next six-months ahead. (No deposit required but need to keep receipt).

*suggest top-up SGD13 for UV lens filter

It's desert hot at afternoon but great for testing exposure & white balance, remember to apply some suntan lotion =P

MSColor staff suggested me the lens filter of "Vitacon 46mm UV" and it's just fit for GF1. Look for 46mm width filter.
I'd also asked the staff what's the different between normal and UV filter, they said not much, cant be spot from image, but main purpose as lens protector.

hi yunhen thanks for the info. was asking cos the same ms colour roadshow also recommended me uv filter but hoya brand instead 46mm 0.75 pitch (made by tokina) and i was wondering whether i can/should get better quality ones cos i wun wanna compromise photos with an additional degrading filter. the filter is probably standard grade cos packaging normal, no model number just says both sides coated. price quoted was $15.

ok, spent whole nite and morning did some research, yup mine is the standard uv lens, double side coated. Think I'll go back to change for Hoya HMC multicoated ones. Should not be problem as i have not opened filter case yet. Only thing is whether 1) they got stock for HMC 46mm and 2) will i get tocked for exchange

nope, it's MINI-sized tripod, and seems not steady too ==" the height is just about as usual writing pen. :sweat:

Try the smaller shops in Funan and Sim Lim. I managed to get a red GF-1 from Song Brothers yesterday. They claimed they still has one more red set. I know many CS members here have black-listed SB. But if you know ur price before you walk in, then should be ok. Juz try not to buy accessories from them.

What did they charge for the set? Pancake or zoom?

I got my red GF1 pancake set from J316 yesterday for $1,330. Got 8GB card & carrying case.

I got it more expensive at $1380 including GST, with pancake lens, LUMIX case, screen protector and 8gb SD. But they threw in a Canon bag with cleaning kit and small tripod. I checked with Alan Photo before buying from Song. Alan does not have red GF-1.

I'm a little disappointed with the red. Not as bright or vibrant. I like the matte finish but it could do with more punch! :bsmilie:

Yup I agreed, not as vibrant. But I think the finishing is still quite good. Enjoy shooting.
