Your children? Lovely kids! One thing I must mention here is that you seem to be able to make everyday ordinary scenes & objects into something worth viewing. For sure, you have keen sharp eyes for details, & understanding & mastery over lighting & exposure. Thanks for all these photos, hard work & all so helpful for those of us interested in the D800.

I read that one has to use faster shutter speed to maintain sharpness when compared to using other lower MP cameras, do you find that it is true?

And those kids shots above are shot with the 50mm AFD F1.8 lens?

yes it is true, in the past i pride myself with the ability to hand hold my camera up to 1/8 of a second without camera shake, now i make an effort to use at least 2X focal length, yes the recent image were shot with the Nikkor 50mm f1.8 AF-D

i will buy a 50mm f.18G and a 85mm f1.8G too, still thinking about the wide end
