the camera was not on a tripod...i could mount it onboard even if i had it...I saddled the camera inside my Crumpler bag with the lens sticking out and the body held up by a flash unit...

no people bro...and i took the shot thru timer mode....saddled the camera on top of bag whcih was on the floor....then ran like crazy to pose on otherside...hehehe..lucky stewardess didnt notice this crazy fool running about

hahaha....that i agree.....it takes a bit of foolishness to unleash our creative potential...

as for the itouch APP, i was surprised myself....i thought it wouldnt be enough to illuminate my face...

maybe next time there'd be more in-flight photos....that would be fun...

I wouldnt mind flying a lonely flight again though..heheh...

anyway...i was a bit sleepy (coz my vacation has been a terribly packed 3 days)....but i couldn't pass up the chance of documenting the scene...an empty flight with an entire exit row assigned to me...hehehe...im sure glad i took the midnight flight...

disturbed anyone?...i hope not...most were asleep...there were only 2 people behind me..and the rest were 3 or 4 rows away....no one was infront of me until 5 rows away....
i literally had the entire exit row to myself...so i had enough space to prance around gleefully laughing at myself for the stupid things i think of doing on board a plane....

as for use of live view...i didnt use it because i was pretty sure i'd be in the frame with use of UWA.....i just assumed where id be in the frame at a specific angle that i mounted the camera....i left a lot of other things to chance...i knew if i calculated the composition, angle and level....It wouldnt be as fun and as spontaneous...

Photographers usually or should behave/acting/thinking out of the norm, otherwise there will be no creativity.

BTW, any LCD screen can be made or set to become a white screen to double as a fill in or a lite source. e.g. cell phone, ps, monitor, lcd tv, etc. A big 52" lcd tv will become an ideal lite box, and can adjust contrast too.

I got bored of the usual things i do on a plane..inflight magazine didnt help either...so I started experimenting with the help of 2 over-head reading lights and an ipod touch application called "torch"....

hi Xiao_shin....thanks a lot for appreciating it...yeah....i did apply a bit of HDR...and DRI on some portion...i usually mix both techniques to create my desired output..

yeah....true that CabbySHE..it wasmore like tiptoe rather than hop hop...hehehe...otherwise...id be caught and be forced to stull still...

it took me 4 progressive shots to get it right.....5, 6th and so on was down hill....i stopped when i realized i already had the shot i want...

i do agree about any o'l LCD baing used as lite box....i just didnt have any that time except itouch and it happened to have this app called torch...with it i can adjust color...brightness etc....
