wow..thanks again sir...really apreciate it coming from you...i know you have always been straight forward with your comments...reading this from you is a truly powerful encouragement...
the camera was not on a tripod...i could mount it onboard even if i had it...I saddled the camera inside my Crumpler bag with the lens sticking out and the body held up by a flash unit...![]()
Who was the one who took the shot then ?Hw did u get those legs and ppl away to clear the path of light ?
cool stuff,
i dont remember my flights being this empty though tsk

TS already explain, read above. It is a self portrait.
He is either trigger with remote or timer (more likely timer i guess).
no people bro...and i took the shot thru timer mode....saddled the camera on top of bag whcih was on the floor....then ran like crazy to pose on otherside...hehehe..lucky stewardess didnt notice this crazy fool running about
"crazy fool", vital ingredients for being an artist, aren't we all a bit crazy and foolish?
I am impress with the amount of light the itouch can throw out.
how often do we get on an 'empty' flight ? ..but I actually love the fact that you thot of shooting yourself with 'available light' while inflight ... interesting  .. most would rather take a nap
Very good depth of field, activate shutter by remote or delay timer, disturbed any other pax on board when you run to your position ? The composition is unique, help by using live view ?
thanks cabbySHE...i used timer delay to activate shutter.....
disturbed anyone?...i hope not...most were asleep...there were only 2 people behind me..and the rest were 3 or 4 rows away....no one was infront of me until 5 rows away....
i literally had the entire exit row to myself...so i had enough space to prance around gleefully laughing at myself for the stupid things i think of doing on board a plane....
as for use of live view...i didnt use it because i was pretty sure i'd be in the frame with use of UWA.....i just assumed where id be in the frame at a specific angle that i mounted the camera....i left a lot of other things to chance...i knew if i calculated the composition, angle and level....It wouldnt be as fun and as spontaneous...![]()
I got bored of the usual things i do on a plane..inflight magazine didnt help either...so I started experimenting with the help of 2 over-head reading lights and an ipod touch application called "torch"....
comments and critique highly appreciated
Nice concept and idea. Is HDR applied? If yes, in a very good way.
Thanks for the reply, a total of how many run around before you get this right.
I figure must be sort of sneaking around rather than thump, thump thump.:bsmilie:
Photographers usually or should behave/acting/thinking out of the norm, otherwise there will be no creativity.
BTW, any LCD screen can be made or set to become a white screen to double as a fill in or a lite source. e.g. cell phone, ps, monitor, lcd tv, etc. A big 52" lcd tv will become an ideal lite box, and can adjust contrast too.
