Getting a dry cabinet, any advices??

No, get a cup of coffee / tea / whatever you like and exercise patience. You have a dry cabinet, not a shock freezer.
While exercising patience you could read the sticky threads about dry cabinets in the Equipment forum (-> Others), just in case you feel bad about doing nothing while the dry cabinets works

chill..relax..whats there to adjust when you already adjust? the RH will go up because u opened the cabinet. The RH in the cabinet and what we are breathing now is different. Which explains why it increases everytime if you were to open the cabinet. It will go back in awhile.

It's not calibration, it's a simple setting where 'red' stands for 'dry' and 'blue' for 'humid'.

hmmm... so it should be red? cos blue is in the middle iirc.
i set it to around the blue region facing 1am/pm from like 11pm to like 7:30am till i woke up but the RH still did not decrease. not sure why though.

So whats the RH shown now? mine is at 1pm. it reads 43%. (But if i were to open..it will need 8-12hrs to get back to this 40ish %)

Wow...
after opening the cabinet, will take 8-12hrs to revert back to 45-55%?!?! that is actually normal?? even for digital ones also??

it depends..whats the % after u keep/take your equipment and close the cabinet.. im just quoting the maximum time needed from my personal observation. Yea it took awhile to go back 42%.. to go 55%..about 4-3hrs? It really depends sometimes its fast sometimes its slow. End of the day..it goes back to the range i want. Im happy. I dont use digital.

Digital .. Analog .. does not matter, it's just a matter of display. The time for returning to target RH depends on volume, condition of equipment, RH of ambient air and the performance of the dehumidifier unit. The external power consumption is rated 4W for the smaller cabinets and up to 10W for the large ones.
Of course one can achieve 45% target RH within 10 minutes - at different costs of equipment and power consumption. But: it's simply not necessary.

Thats right...before you had a dry cabinet or when you were in the field shooting..the RH % was so much higher..
Btw...the cabinet only use 5W... so you dont expect immediate result...

Ok. 1am/pm is around the blue colour region right.
I set it since morning but now i see still at 67 RH.

im not sure where went wrong.
but now i have set it to the red region which is around 4:30 - 5am/pm
set it around 1 hr before.
and i have not put my gears inside yet. cos i see the RH still around 70, dun dare to put in.
