And also had a demon literally growl in my face. Sounds like 'big cat' family type growl but higher pitch. First was far away behind, then a few metres behind. Lastly was 1m in front of me.
Heard a strange loud growl outside the golf course at MFA at junction of Minden and Holland Roads, coimg in direction of the vegetated area at road junction. Not animal. No animal is sight, no movement in vegeation. Sounded like coming from a wide range rather than a specific spot. I was with a big group of friends (around 8 people). So far 3 of my friends said they never heard anything. While I was walking past, I kept staring into the vegetation for some reason. Almost like instinct, like something is attracting me eyes there. Some strange feeling that some thing almost wanted me to go nearer to the vegetation. And yet something that told me to walk on.
There was something inside there afterall.
Darren said:Ok, here's something that really happened to me in Genting Highlands a long time back ... probably more than 10 years ago, maybe longer.
Our family and my aunt's family together with some of our teen-aged friends went up to Genting Highlands to spend a few days there. We booked two apartments at the Ria Apartments which are located probably 10-15 minutes drive below the main casino hotels. The plan was for the older ppl to stay in one apartment and the kids+friends stay in the other.
When we checked into the apartment late in the afternoon, me and my sister already felt something creepy once we stepped into the place, and both of us noticed that there was a huge black-colored moth with glowing orange highlights on the wall of the apartment, nothing sinister at first glance, but an omen of what was to follow.
Later that night after dinner, we all posed for pictures and since I was already firmly into photography I was the one wielding the camera. For the first couple of pictures, we posed just outside the balcony door (which overlooked a forested area), and since it was already around 8pm, it was very dark outside. For the first two shots which I took with my point-and-shoot film camera (> 10 years ago lah, no digital), the flash did not fire (and you know what happens then .... kena boo by the people posing ... :sticktong), so I checked the camera --- pretty weird since the flash ready light was lit and I had just changed the batteries. Anyway, tried again and on the third attempt, the flash fired. After that, the camera worked fine.
The night wore on and we all had fun playing cards among ourselves and just lazing around watching TV or reading/chatting. When it came to bedtime, we all decided to bring out the mattresses from 2 of the bedrooms and putting them in the large living room (there were 3 bedrooms in all). One of our friends decided that he would sleep in the room closest to the living room.
So around midnight or so, all of us retired to our mattresses on the floor and the solitary friend to the bedroom. Thats when the fun began.
We were woken up a few times (well, the ones who sleep lightly eg me and a couple others) by the sound of the toilet at the back flushing itself (which it did not do previously) and a quick check showed all heads sleeping. Creepy feeling #2.
Then around 3am, our friend who was sleeping in the bedroom started making noises and woke us all up. To our amazement, he walked out of the bedroom with his eyes wide open and walked around the living room mumbling and muttering to himself, and when we tried to call out to him, he just ignored us. Afte a while, he went back to the bedroom and fell onto the bed, fast asleep. We all peeped into the bedroom and just checked to make sure he was okay. Creepy feeling #3. After that we all tried to sleep but feeling a bit scared and weirded out.
The next morning at breakfast, my sister told me that just after midnight, she had seen a ghostly female figure visibly floating towards toilet at the end of the corridor (the one that was flushing itself), and she was very very sure it was floating cos she didn't see any feet. Major creepy feeling #3.
That was it - we told our parents and immediately we checked out and moved to the main casino hotel. But that was not the end of the story.
About a week later, I processed the photos that were taken during the holiday, and got a major shock. Remember the first two photos that were taken but the flash did not fire? The scene was quite dark and logically speaking, the result would have been severely underexposed or not exposed at all. Well, the first two shots came out perfectly exposed and there were more "people" in the picture than expected. In both the photos, behind my sis and her friends there was a very distinct and visible female apparition, from the pic you could make out that she had long dark hair. Now, my sis and her friends were standing outside on the balcony, so behind them was nothing but air (the apartment was on a high floor). Major Major Creepy Feeling #4.
My mum immediately made me burn the two photos as well as the negative (last time very superstitious) at the altar. Now, looking back at the incident (which remains very very firmly etched in my memory), I should have kept the pictires or at least the negatives.
Thats my ghost story from Genting Highlands. Now only mildly scary but true.

When I was young, we have a young couple with a new born baby renting my neighbour's house which is a few doors away...we were staying in those double storey's terrace house with 3 bedrooms on top and 1 at bottom.....one morning, the couple KPKB saying they lost their baby...after sometime of searching, we eventually found the baby in the store room sleeping soundly, the storeroom is basically the empty shelter between the staircase with a door....everyone involved starring at each other speechless...the baby was an infant and it's impossible he will move himself, besides in order to open the door knob you need to be at least a toddler's high...So we assume it must be the parent sleep walking or whatever it's but of course the couple broke in tears and didn't complaint much as long as they found their baby....by looking at their expression, I don't think both of them trying to pull our leg....
After a few weeks....this couple kpkb in the morning again but this time round with their baby with them...but they refused to go back to their home saying again they found their baby in the store room straight away that morning because they couldn't sight him in the baby bed....after sometimes we managed to help them to contact their landlord...and to our dismay the landlord admitted that they use to stay with their ailing mother who occupying the ground floor's room...but after she passed away, they move out to stay with their own children now...apparently they felt their mom spirit is still there because very frequently at night they could hear there is activity downstair like someone walking and chair pulling or tea cup washing etc...just like what before their mom pass away....
There onwards...I have not seen the couple anymore and the house was vacated for quite sometimes....and then our life also move on when my family moved

Y, a tourist, checked into a hotel. After checking in, he went to put his luggage into the room, as he stepped in, a man suddenly appeared out of nowhere and told him that the room was 'unclean', Y laughed at the young man, thinking it was a prank. When he stepped into the room, he suddenly had a sense of dread, thinking it was nothing, he unpacked and began his tour around Hongkong, going to all the tourist attractions.
After a long day of fun, Y went back to his hotel room to sleep, as his head hit the pillow, he fell asleep.
Suddenly, he heard a female voice saying, You and me, back to back, heart to heart' he was scared out of his wits, he thought he was dreaming, but the voice kept on repeating the words. So he quickly ran down to the counter, on his way there, he saw the young man again.
"I TOLD you it was 'unclean'! NOW DO YOU BELIEVE ME?!"
Y, shocked to hear his words, dashed down to the counter and told the manager about the room. After much persuasion from the manager, Y finally found the courage to step into the room again.
The manager, and a few other staff members, took the mattress away and was shocked to see what was underneath the bed...
They found a female corpse, arms and legs tied, back towards the bed with a large knife wound in the chest. Y finally what the words meant...
The police came soon after and began their search for the young man. After days of searching, the police finally found his body, with the very same knife wound on his chest...
The autopsy report estimated his time of death to be around the same time the female corpse was found...

Went to grandmas house for dinner and visit her at the same time..was worried sick about her condition..
Reached there and had another shocking moment..my Aunt had just returned from this Casino trip from Genting..along with 3 other relatives, mostly quite old already..
They stayed in this hotel..on the first night they tried to save money so 4 of them decided to maximise a queen size bed in 1 room..so they pulled off the top mattress so they can spread the comforter on the base..you get the idea..
And guess what they found underneath?
A fxxking female corpse.
oh god..According to my badly shaken aunt, it wasn't rotting that badly and it was very concealed hence they didn't notice the smell..but..MURDER victims usually don't look too good..and this corpse gave my 4 grandaunts/aunts a horrific shock..they were petrified imagine which person looks under the bed and finds a fxxking corpse?
Gosh they ran for their lives to the management..and the damn hotel actually gave them 2 choices..either to report to police or they'll pay them each 7000 ringgit to shutup..they chose the latter and fled home..I don't think that was right but I guess they weren't in the right state of mind..and it's in Malaysia anyway...sheesh what is the fxxking world coming to?
I'm not staying in any Genting hotel again.
