This is my first year shooting fireworks and whatever... Can someone tell me what other equipment do we need other than our own camera?

Outing: New Year Countdown Fireworks
Venue:Esplanade bridge
Meeting Place: Raffles Place Mrt (Control Station)
Meeting Time: 5.30pm
(will not wait for latecomers, if late, got to make your way there yourself)
Gear checklist:
1) Camera, at least have some manual features to control the apeture and shutter speed
2) cable release
3) tripod
4) wide angle lens
5) water proof bag/ camera bag (nowadays always raining)
6) bring umbrella, sunblock to protect yourself and your equipment
7) food and drinks (else can buy from BK)
8) small torchlight for packing in the dark
PS: Feel free to bring your gf, bf or any friend along since it's a joyful season.

think I'll get a slik pro tripod for a start... too tight a budget, ai qi ai pi.. :embrass:
slik also got nice and good tripod, think it's better to get those tripod with the sponge around the legs. think they're called leg warmers. Hee.. feel more comfortable to hold, but again maybe it's just me.

you can consider Slik Pro 330 or 340. They are light and not expesnive. I bought my Slik 340 about $130 if I can remember correctly.
