Has been roaming here for a few months already but this my first post!
18F this year, living in the west. Don't mind if i join outing if i'm free?

Hi all! welcome to our thread, age doesnt matter here, we're all here to learn and enjoy photography. Feel free to join us for our outing, infact you're welcome to organise a outing here too. By the way, there'll going to be a outing this sun, new year's eve to go take fireworks at esplanade bridge. The fireworks will be show casing at 2200, 2230, 2300, 2350 IIRC. Details coming up. those going should be prepared for rain and very crowded area.

Think if we meet at at 6pm then go for dinner it'll be quite late when we reach there. Suggest that dinner at around 5plus then 6pm reach the area.

and putting your handphone number on the thread is not very safe and not everyone likes that idea of it, perphaps sending your contact to the organiser or the outing via pm would be better.

did i spell wrongly? haha.. cant b sigma meh? can buy body only mah.. flash and tele lens can borrow from school..

my school has 580ex and sigma 70-300mm..

so how? who is going to meet at city hall at 4 or 5pm? dinner can b later la.. some body go help everyone da bao can already mah..

i had tot of ECP Bridge but its sort of inconvient..

im busy in the morning & afternoon at istana..

nah la....I dun really have a very good impression of Sigma lenses.Somehow I have the feeling that they will give way after two yrs of usage cuz of one bad experience.The colors from Sigma lenses are also warmer, not to my preference.

Furthermore, I've tried out the 17-70 and the AF is sluggish.;p

Hee.. agreed that some of the built is not so good. But alternative ways of getting fast lens at cheaper lens sometimes. And the 17-70 is not very ex so shouldnt be a problem where you can get to use that range at a okie price. Hee.. But rather skeptical about sigma flash. Haha..

not too sure of the price also.. But looking at the canon lens price list the sigma one is around 600 and canon one is 1K.

second hand is about $800?
So for USM and IS its a worthy price to pay

Esplanade bridge tends to get alot of smoke.. (based on previous experiences of SFF)..
