On a sidenote, luckily you were shooting a guy from that angle, if it were a school girl in skirt... :bsmilie::sweat:

Also tried bumping the E-P1's saturation/contrast/sharpness to +2 on VIVID mode yesterday, the pictures turned out with lots of punch and appeared to me as though the subjects stood out of the pictures. Really a lot of 'WOW' from my what my E510 body could do.

Sharing my humble shot below. Only resized to 600x800 via photobucket resizing. Absolutely no colour/contrast/brightness adjustments done to it.

your white balance seems a tad too warm for my liking

lol,i just leave auto and shoot raw XD

i like the warmness of the shot. reflects the hot, sunny day hehe

After relooking at the 2 pictures, I thought the warmer picture really had more impact (or either that I'm not as good at post processing for the other picture). Anyhow, colours preference is really a "each of their own" thing ;)

Thanks for the opinions nonetheless.

now a bit too cool, but then, the old guys skin tone and colour i never seen before, plus I wasn't there on that day so don't know what the "actual" colour is,but ya,white balance is also subjective

I did not go. Just as I thought it will be very difficult to take, and sunday was raining some more

Too much magenta on the corrected pic; it also could do with a little bit of lightening.

Crock, my Silkypix has gone all wonky and has refused to start even after reinstallation...

I htink Silkypix forums is a good place to seek tech support. ;)

Hah no need - old skool uninstall/reinstall worked fine. Eventually. ;p

Here's the colour corrected pic:

Dropped the colour temperature to 5000k, cut back the contrast, brightened it with +0.4 EVs.

Only problem is that the CS gallery added in a whole bunch of artifacts... oh well...

(BTW, has anyone tried Silkypix Pro yet???)

Delayed the sales of the E-P1 and brought it for a short trip to HCMC.
Yes, the camera system is indeed small and light. But I wished that they have better lens for the system. Also, almost cannot see what's on LCD under bright daylight.
