D300s, f3.5.

It is said that this zoom has nice bokeh for a f3.5 lens. Guess I'm addicted too. ;p

hmm.. this lens has passed thru my hands before... it s good.. try coupling it with the TC-16A..

Flare performance. I almost got blinded. Its not easy to have the sun in the image on a 270mm eqv lens.

Reason why i got it cheap: Some black blobs and tiny scratches.
Somehow it does not affect the sharpness, colour or flare at all in my opinion. :D Jus don't look that nice cosmetically.

it was made especially for Nikon F401, F501 and F801 (MIR suggests F4 and F90) . It will work on some other cameras , but you try this at your own risk!. It works with my D2H, and F5, but it does not work with my D1X or my D200.

Will it work with the D300s? Had this impression the D200, which won't work with the TC, is similar to the D300s.

Cheers

o... i convereted mine.. replaced the AF chip with one from a 35-70 f3.5-4.5. it will fit in with some squeezing, some extra wiring, solder and alot some measure of patience. haha. there'r some instuctions to modify it without changing the chip online, but focus for that fix wasnt accurate.

i ve converted around 3 of them and used one of them with this lens when it was in my hands. after conversion it ll work on any nikon af camera. w/o conversions wont work on d200.. not sure about d300 tho..

i kinda like durians...so, i went closer :)
