hi ... hope somebody can help me out

u know the indicator knob that tells u how much to advance ... well, mine does not turn. i have to press the back cover when i'm advancing the film. i dont know if this will actually damage the film in the process

i read some similar issue in another forum and that there is a diy solution for it. but i cant find it ... anybody?

Mine seem to have the same problem. I think it could be some part during the assembly was not properly placed. Well I've yet to take a look at how to fix it but it doesn't 'hurt' the film.

Same for me. What i did is just apply some pressure on the cover when advancing the film.:)

ahhhhh ... okok

i'll continue searching around for a fix

worst come to worst, seek after sales service from the place that you've bought :bsmilie:

I'm interested to get this Gakkenflex TLR soon.
Ask you guys who are using it, does it have a lot of trouble when using this cam? :dunno:

Like that also can? :bsmilie:

i also tink thus far the only solution is apply some pressure on the back cover.

personally i didnt hav any trouble so far with 3 rolls of film shot with the gakken TLR.

i will usually try as much as possible to wind just in one action to the next frame, just to be sure the film is straight inside the film chamber.

i just finished my first roll of film ... aiyo disaster la ... but i love it! HAHA

PROBLEM SOLVED!
I compared mine to Jimmy's (hope I got his name right) from 36 ... he was really helpful.
My middle wheel (the one that shows you how much the film is advancing) was screwed on too tightly. Just loosen it a little. The gear should easily turn without using even the slightest force. YAY!

perhaps share ur exp?
im curious too
I just shot my 2nd roll yesterday. It was really interesting. This time i used expired fuji press 800 film. Just simply buy and try. I like the element of surprise. Did the shot work? Was it bright enough? Was it really in focus? Is there anything special/different about this film? I bought another 2 different types of film to try out ... haha
I think I will be learning for a very long time. I just enjoy the experience. Don't think, just shoot.

hmm dont think jus shoot scares me. lolx...
id love to try this out soon. cant wait to get my hands on one.

thinkin of modding mine with some extra weight... feel it's a bit too light..

about the film advance issue, try screwing in the exterior screws that hold all the sides together tight... it will make yr film door hard to close, but it will definitely fix the film advance thingy.

guys, how do u all know when to stop advancing the film? n how much to advance on gakkenflex?

Advance 180 degrees. There is an indicator on the side. Just advance til it turns half a circle.

haha, I have the Gakkenflex too! I was wondering if there's any need t focus before taking photos?

yes you could actually see the focusing when you 'adjust' the lens.
