Gaffer And Scanning Services Here!!!

Would like to offer the following services..

1) Gaffering for camera bodies, hoods and knick knacks. Cost will be based on how much gaffer is needed. Agar agar usually $20 for a camera body.

2) Scanning 35mm negatives and slides with backing. Scan range is a wonderful 2657 x 4104 pix. Burnt on CD or DVD, up to you.

Firstly, a big sorry to those i confused by messaging with my brother's acccount. To answer all your questions...

1) Can only deal around Holland V area, unless you need me to scan/gaffer in bulk then i will drive down and pickup/deliver from your door.

2) I don't have any pictures of my previously gaffered cameras, but my guarantee is if you don't like it you don't have to pay me.

3) 2657 X 4104 pixis roughly 11 Mpix

4) Using coolscan 4

5) ICE available

6) $6 per 35mm roll of 36 exp / $8 per 36 slides.

You go by per 36 exposures or you go by per roll? TIFF? JPEG?

1) $6 per 36 exp 35mm negatives or $8 per 36 slides. For bulk scanning (more than 5 rolls), I will give you a better price.

2) The format depends on your preference. Tiff/Jpeg are available. Tiff files can be very large, usually around 30MB meaning I have to burn it on DVD-R for just 36 exp.

The negatives that the wedding stores provide that I've seen so far
are 120mm negatives. Most of the guys don't have negative
scanner that can scan this size (expensive ).....

I brought some negatives to a minolta konica shop to scan in
(they gave me the rate of 1.70 per 120mm negative). The photos
were supposed to be 16base (resolution about 3000x2000), but I think
they did too much compression by default as size of files average about 1.2MB. The scanned in photos look nice on screen but when zoom to 100%,
they were not nice at all :-(

I had a few photos files sent to me by a wedding shop who was doing a
digital album. Their scanned in photos were VERY nice (file size average about 4MB) so they probably have a very nice negative scanner.....
