Bros, anyone heard abt the firm price for this 25mm?
I was told by my regular shop that previous pricing were quite hectic and confusing as the price difference between shops are quite drastic. Now there seems to be some control over it.
Anyone knows if there are any revised pricing?

Did you try Parisilk Holland Village? I saw the lens cap and hood there when I collected my E-PL3 and was sorely tempted to buy the 12mm lens just to be able to use the lens cap. I didn't really want or need the 12mm as I prefer to shoot landscapes with a high quality UWA zoom like the Nikon 14-24mm and 16-35mm or fisheye lenses. Luckily common sense prevailed and I saved >$1k. The prices of these 2 accessories are definitely less than their respective RRP there.

Are they out of stock and are waiting for restock? "Yet" sounded like they never had stock before. I have physically handled these 2 items at their shop.

Did you ask to speak to Kevin the store manager? He would definitely know as he was the one who showed those items to me. I didn't even know before then that they existed.

I would like to check with you how you will rate the IQ of this new Leica 25mm as compared to the famous 20mm?
I know it focus faster and quieter, but the only thing is it's 2x bigger and heavier, though luckily its not 2x more expensive.
I just want someone with these lenses to give some feedback before I get it soon.....

I think it has stabilised around 800, give or take 20. My regular shop had an extremely high price too, then I forwarded them another shop's quote and they dropped it to around this price. At least 3 shops have given me this range of price now so it should be quite stable.

All 3 between 800 and 810, all inclusive of GST. To me, that's basically the same price.

i was quoted $899 from MS, so which 3 shops offer you $800 to $810?
I guess u are over quoted. Those under SLRR waiting list price remains at $779nett cash.

As Ouverture mentioned, I think there was some confusion among shops early. Some quoted too high, some too low. I would ask for a requote to see if things changed.

i know i am over quoted as i know other shops selling cheaper. so far i know slrr is $779, but no stock. so which shop selling at $800?
