OK 600 if you get from Jakarta. This comes with Canon Indonesia warranty. I travel to Jkt monthly so it works out for me.

685 if you get from the little shop directly opposite the entrance of Grand Plaza Park Hotel. The uncle there quoted me 685 for a 4gb card, and even said yes when I asked if it came with Canon S'pore warranty. A little skeptical but can at least give it a try. I didn't ask about GST though. I will update with the shop name when I get the chance to go to that area again.

Hi G9'ers,

Just got the G9, din like the long neckstraps... was thinking of getting a hand strap instead.
Handphone strap seems a little weak.. had one incident with it breaking, then sending me handphone down the stairs :sweat:

Hoping to get those like the neckstrap but shorter...

i went to parisilk at holland village, so confused by the neh neh uncles... 12pm tell me $790 with gst, 4gb card, cleaning set, bag, tripod. Then 1hr later $802 with 4 gb card only. :cry:

BTW the viewfinder really sucks. It covers a lot more than the actual photo being taken. Some of us might find this an advantage (as compared to DSLRs which show less of what is actually being captured) but I find it very difficult to shoot a picture via the viewfinder without cropping it and losing pixels / picture size Something I have to get used to I guess.

Your foreground is a tad under exposed for such a sunny beach shot.

i find your "original" output more pleasing, actually. but then, our tastes can be very different. from your photoshop version of the picture, i can see that you have bumped the contrast quite a bit. if this is your type of taste, then the solution is use "my colours" on the G9. in there, you can adjust the contrast, saturation, etc.. and then once you are done, save it. in future, all your shots can be set to default to your pre-set colours. i hope this helps.

There are a few colour modes for you to choose from. Maybe you could try the vivid mode if you like saturated colours.

Think that exclusive of the shipping fee, think the adapter will cost ard S$40, thumb rest plus the grip will also cost another S$40+. So total for both will be approximately near S$100.. Hope this will help !

check out these comparison photos for Canon and Lensmate ~~ i dun think will cause vignetting lol they are most likely identical in dimension except Lensmate is made by aluminium ~~~~
