quick question, is the G3 convertors compatible with the G9?

Need some help here...not sure if this been asked before..

Is there anywhere in SG that I could get the FULL screen screen protector for this camera? I had gotten a 3" SP becos I simply cant find it selling in SG. Looks like a joke really..
Also, anyone using compatible batt for this? The original batt is really ex...I saw compatible batt selling at Eastgear at $29.90...any comments?

I using compatible batt too, so far for me no problem.

Jogging around the Ski 360 the other day, and have my G9 handy, and capture a few shots of cable ski action. Light was getting low, that drive the shutter down to about 1/40. Shutter lag certainly doesn't help, but overall am quite happy with the stablisation to allow me to get some decent shots, but I certainly need to improve on my panning skill:

Mine is the normal 3" protector.

If you want the actual size to cover the screen, you can custom make it but will be expensive. You go to those push cart that sell screen protector, they should have.

Last time, I custom make before is more then $10.

Anybody has a recommendation for the wide angel?
Currently I am using Raynox 0.66 lens, and there is vigneting at the top corner.

Canon wide convertor has no obvious vigneting, I didn't do extensive testing, just eyeball test. That was the reason I took the canon version.

Got my G9 yesterday and am feeling very overwhelmed by the camera suddenly....

I mean, it's such a magnificent piece that I cant help just staring and admiring it for the last 24hrs :heart:
too scared to do much oso..

But in all seriousness, I think it's worth my current 'broke' state ;p

And now, I shall spend the rest of my waking hours poring thru the manual and such..

I need lotsa tips, lotsa help....

I am travelling in GuangZhou now and just check out the price for G9 local warranty model is only RMB 3,100 with 1GB card. Dealer set will be RMB 3,600 w/o card. To my surprise, its much cheaper than in Spore.

Hi all,

Looks like I will be getting a G9. But I'm wondering if I should consider the lens adapter and maybe the wide angle add-ons?

I've look through all 30+ pages, but I'm not sure if these adapters are needed? I read in the dp review about barrel distortion and wonder if the wide angle add-on is highlight this issue.

I love shooting wide angle so thats why im considering. Any one have a rough idea of the price locally?

Finally with all these add-ons, are we not going into a camera that is "i wanna be a DSLR, but I'm not"? Can any experts compare the G9+Wide angle in price vs an equalvalent DSLR? Cos for me price is an issue.
