Eh, we TFCD melvan for a before/during/after SAF concept.

Why me? -_-"

I'm not a model, i'm a photographer :D

Hey guys,

Has anyone got a recommendation for a cheap and good camera bag?

My eyes are affixed to the Buy & Sell section, hoping to land a good deal on a second hand one. The Tamrac Velocity series seems pretty good.

Usually I'll just use a normal bag, with the FZ protected in an encasement, as I try to go light as much as I can; unless I'm lugging a tripod around. However, I'll be travelling to Indonesia soon, and it might be wise to have one.

Cheers guys!

bags are rather difficult to recommend, its more like wat type of function u gave more priority to...

for me i'm using a kata 3n1-20 with diy tripod compartment... i like it for its easy access to camera and design...

u will need to know what will be inside ur bag, for prosumer user we dun have much lens like dslr so size-wise, we can easily choose.

Yeaps, took that into consideration, given that unlike the DSLR, there won't be much lenses for me to lug around (thank God).

My main criteria are easy access, and compactness. Hence, I'll much prefer a sling bag. Max I'll have just an additional Tcon, and the odd accessories like lens hood, adapter, extra batteries... and some space to chuck in my small personal items.

Just got back to Singapore, and it's a pity I didn't have time during the last few days to go hunt for 1 in HK. Brands like Godspeed and Bagman are pretty economical.

I was over at Mustafa last night, and went to have a quick look see. They didn't have a good range. But they did have Bagman, which was comparatively more expensive than HK.

I think there is a 3N1 for sale in the B&S section for $135.

I'll have some time before I fly off. Most likely I'll wait for a deal in the B&S section.

If you prefer a slim bag and you want a cheap one, you can try lowepro rezo 190

Thanks guys for your input.

That's a good suggestion Navlem. The Rezo looks functional, and the price is certainly alright. I'll check that out at the shops.

Hope you guys had a good weekend.

Cheers everyone!

Guys have any idea where to get 46mm CPLs???

46mm CPLs are obtainable at most camera shops, although some shops may carry very few stock of 46mm since its not very conventional. But I know places like John 3:16, Alan photo do sell.

Rezo 190 is not slim at all! Haha, I find it rather bulky, but it is a cheap bag. Back then i use a Rezo 170 which was rather ideal size for FZ18 and Tcon and some extra space. Its too big if you don't use a Tcon. Well, for FZs... you really just need a protection pouch and you can stuff it into any other bag, so its really up to your preferences. =)

That's what I do now. Just a protection pouch. That's the beauty of it. :)

But I am considering getting a camera bag for my trip to the mountainous outbacks of Padang (Indonesia). You can say it's a jungle, and the nearest form of civilization is a mining site. Will be there for 3-4 weeks.

Hello FZers, I noticed the West Shooters are organizing a tree top walk outing next Sunday morning meeting at Ang Mo Kio at 7:15 am, it is a shame Navlem will be in NS. My time is running out in S/pore too quickly. Too many places to go , people to meet, things to do, too little time. Towards the end of this week my schedule is quite full starting with fare-welling Melvan off to his NS Friday morning and dinner with Amy's friends and family in the evening (sorry Vinze cannot go fishing Friday night)
I went to the Sony Digital Workshop yesterday for the basic introduction to Alpha DSLRs. Jefffrey Siow ran the workshop which was attended by about 22 new Alpha owners. He covered the basics of exposure, aperature, shutter speed, ISO, DRO, maintenance, tecnique, and many of the functions and controls of the different cameras in the Alpha mount range.
The workshop was targeted at the very new to DSLR photography and although basic it was very informative none the less. For me it was three hours well spent.
I am looking at making one last purchase before I return home, I want to get a small dry cabinet to hold one body and about three lenses, any ideas where to look and what price?
I don't want a really big one as I am limited as to how much weight I can bring back.

If it is less than 7kg I can take as hand luggage if not will have to risk it in cargo hold. I saw Courts had 26 litre ones for $118, was told to check NTUC at AMK Hub.
How is that manky toe of yours?

Still, the same, but i'll be coming over to Hougang tomorrow.
