Since getting the FZ28, I've been having tremendous fun with it in HK, and experimenting with various basic techniques.
My most memorable photography trip was down at a public zoo that left me with a leg-ful of mosiquitoe bites. It has been a week, and I'm still suffering from the itches, and tons of fuzzy images; because I attempted to swap the bloodsuckers, while trying to keep the camera still for a shot, and praying that the darn monkeys kept still too. ;p
Thanks to the contributors here for such a great recommendation of a camera.
Unfortunately, I've caught the BBB bug. The Swine Flu Pendamic was the least of my worries. It all started with the reverberation of "Teleconverter, Teleconverter, Teleconverter" in my sub-consciousness. And the great "Tcon" project started. I must say, it was enjoyable sourcing, and piecing all the parts together. I've got the Tcon-17 yesterday at a good price, and I am truly a happy-camper.
I've a question for the FZers in this thread using the Tcon-17. The Tcon-17 does not have threadings at the front end, which bars any form of attachments like a lens hood. If I wanted the option of attaching a lens hood, what would be a good way?
I've read various forums, which suggested:
a) plugging in a 77mm-82mm step-up ring.
b) plugging in a double threaded 77mm cheap filter, with lens removed.
c) getting a collapsible 77mm rubber hood, and remove the attachment end of the hood.
Hence, rubber hood could be slipped over the tcon from the converter's narrower end.
I reckon c) is least painful, and hoods are pretty cheap here in HK. If I muck it up, it'll only costs me a couple of bucks.
Anyone with some advice on how to accomplish this?
