Have printed out the ISO 200,400 & 800 samples.
I guess it's depend on which camera you compare to.
If you compare to dSLR of course the print out is terrible.
Generally I find still acceptable, as u know in iso 800 the detail is pretty much loss.
So again, what kind of object that you shoot, if need alot detail, then iso 800 is not usable.

Below my daughter, taken with ISO 200, just resize no pp.

The $699 was the price last Saturday. Price drops to $50 in less than a week.
Like armadillo, I am enjoying the camera much. Only have taken pics of my 2 kids though.

If I'm not mistaken, S$652 is without GST. Adding GST and the price will be about S$685, which is about what CP quoted to me.

Hi, Ur daughter is so sweet. ;)

Glad that you are loving your FZ7. .... gee... how "terrible" is terrible?

Btw, does anyone know which is a good software for editing/removing noise?

Hi Kel3vin,
Thanks :)
I print out few copy of ISO 800 and 400, actually not so terrible, just for ISO 800 most details is lost. But the whole image still acceptable, I think with ISO 400 + neatimage shd be quite ok, the result.

Currently I'm using neat image, but only using demo version :)

Want to ask those who own a FZ7.. I was playing the camera at Suntec over the weekend and notice that at MF, it actually allows you to focus up to 5 cm. However the promoter says it cannot do it and in order to shoot macro you need to switch to macro mode... i didnt get a chance to verify what he say so would appreciate if someone can confirm if indeed you can focus item 5 cm to the lens when at MF. Thanks....

I did try to use MF in manual mode, for less then 5 cm, seem no problem, maybe to night will take same sample to show you ;)

just tried it now. it does allow MF at 5cm (minimum).

does anyone know the price of original and OEM battery for FZ7? and where can I buy the oem?

I think AP selling at $30, I get mine from Eastgear more expensive $34.95, they claim it's made in Japan
It shd be compatible with FZ30, but seem a little bit tight when I slot in to my FZ7 :dunno:

If memory serves, the original battery (P/N CGA-S002, I think) is $70, or thereabouts.

One quick question, what do you guys think about the Silicon Power 1 GB SD Card Ultima?

It is selling for $54.00 and I'm thinking of getting this with the FZ7.
