Yes, the fireworks will be coming from the empty grass patch, just like the esplanade opening fireworks.
Was there last night for the 1st round of fireworks.

I think Sheares bridge may be too near for me. i read in previous threads that from there they had to use wide angle... and I only have 50MM.... :cry:

Never tried taking CNY fireworks......

Was there last year. 20mm works beautifully. :)

Can shoot from esplanade bridge or the merlion bridge too, but no foreground.

20MM!!!!! I'm off by 30MM...... shucks..... My one and only lens. Nikon 50MM f1.4
 

Think I must find someone who knows where / when got fireworks...... I need to take more pics of fireworks!! My NDP2002 ones... composition not good.

Merlion Bridge is the one sticking out into the water for people to view the merlion (the end of which is firing the pyrotechnics here)
