FX9 tomorrow!

I just got the FX9 during lunchtime... got it at the local camera shop near Ginza Plaza, Clementi (Shop:Woodlands Domestic Electrical Pte. Ltd.)... Got it for $625 with 512Mb SD and camera pouch. Most probably can get it cheaper at MS Color ($600?) but because of time plus I've travel there so I think $625 is OK to me (Its around the price that I am willing to pay).
Now charging the battery in office... itching to try it out...

Got the black color one... which colors did you guys get?

How's the photo quality taken? Is the battery life good?
I am considering among FX9, Casio Exilim and Canon IXUS i Zoom.

well...so far from my use of fx9, the picture quality is not too bad..... but flashwork seems abit off.... and the video resolution is not really good...but it's respectable for a camera that size...

regarding the other two cameras...i guess u gotta go to the other forums to find out..

The Panasonic FX9 picture quality is good, but the flash is very weak, unuseable for indoor/ party shots. For normal outdoor daylight shots, it is good. Here are 2 samples:
1. Outdoor late afternoon, flash off

ya...admit that the flash is weak, however, all the photos that I took, looks good after using Photoshop to brighten the photos..

so it's still good!!

Did you guys noticed these camera brands always will one time debut all the new models. Canon, Olympus, now Panasonic...

Thinking of getting it too... so far the cheapest I found is $540 for the fx9, $50 for 512mb SD & $10 for the case...

and not sure how true another person selling @ $430... he claim that it got scratch so selling cheaper but think he is from a shop near somerset MRT...

Oh I forget to ask... what is the difference between different SD card... is it just the brand/price or the writing speed also got difference? What do I need to ask when I buying SD card? sorry I know nuts abt SD card...
