FurryPhotos - Pet Portraiture/Pictures

More shots from Mutts N Mittens.

A very playful but naughty white and tabby kitten

The tabby eying the kitten suspiciously

Most of the photos ended up like this

And to end this post is Lucky. Hes a very people friendly rottie who is unfortunately on his last legs with ligaments issues and cancer. Still a very manja fellow though.

Thanks for viewing and as always more from my flickr site.

Trying out something new for now. Rabbits! TFCD session ;p

Nosey. He has an ear infection but is recovering. The infection has caused his neck to be tilted so he sleeps on a pillow to help relieve neck strain

Zohan - You dont mess with him

WangWang with his hay basket

Your subejects tend to be a little too centered in most of the swipping shots. Try taking it in porait oreintation and getting slightly lwoer down. That last pic has quite a very distracting backgorund but yea nice timing heh

nice rabbits (dont mean the last picture by Mickoe though hehe).

Anyway, raptor84's comment is right. too centered or alot of distraction. How about framing it wider and then cropping to your fancy. =)

Mickoe, the last picture, shows Love Transcends all boundaries. =)

Enjoy taking pet photos!

Thanks t|tan.
Here's another shot with the kit lens 39mm@f/8... my GF's cat is currently boarding there so have been going down every few days to visit and brush the cat =p.. 430EX bounced off the celing with no diffuser.

Purrfect (yes that's her name)

my sisters white syrian, quite lazy, little burst of activity before it went back to sleep!

Just one pic to share, this fella with the Puss in Boots expression.

@eleveninth

Seems its a little back focused but cute capture. The centralized composition seems to work ok in this pic.

@justmitz
Nice job getting the eye contact erhe but I feel that theres quite a bit of unnecessary space around the cat. Maybe a slighty tighter crop might work better?

hehe he got sleepy and didnt wanna pose anymore after that. should have stopped down. what do you mean by back focused?

Cause the ears seem more in focus than the eyes :) For portraits you wanan keep the eyes in focus.

Yea did think about it, but many times I find I make the subject the focus of my photo and fail to see the "bigger picture", tell a story. With this one I wanted to give the impression of how there's so much space around it, and with a coat colour like that, it practically blends into the environment, and yet, the need to crouch low. It's such a loner, a widdle fella in the harsh cold (concrete) world. Haiz poor kitty.

But thanks for the c&c.

Some strays I shot while going about my way.. back to my old pal the 70-200 :)

Enjoy!
