FurryPhotos - Pet Portraiture/Pictures

My original intention of this thread (as stated in the first post) was to be as a place for me to post my pictures up here for comments and suggestions. .............

Hi Raptor, I apologise for cutting into your threads. Should have read more carefully next time.

On C&C issue, one has to be quite sure before giving any critique as any wrong info could make a beginner confused and disheartened. For eg, there is no one sure angle to take a subject. That becomes dogmatic and its no more consider photography and becomes a science and not an art. That's my honest opinion.

Cheers and keep posting

:) Hi everyone,

Sorry my thread that cause all this confusion.
Thank Fresh Angle, TITAN and Raptor84 for the concern.

No worry problem on my side. I have no hard feeling on anyone. Of course I will not be disheartened with comment.

for TlTAN
I am not using any lighting or in studio.
Window is just behind me. The room is supposely brightly "lit".

Bro Fresh Angle,

Glad that all is clear between you and raptor84. Understand where you are coming from also. World of Nature is considered one of the least bombarded forum section here. hehe.

Anyway, enough of OT, and do share more Bro raptor84 and Fresh angle. Am benefiting by learning from your picture sharing. =)

Bro Archon,

We are here to learn and just honest comments from what we see. Using Natural studio for your case. Cool. PP a little and you might have a studio shot type of picture! hehe.

Thanks for sharing too!

No hard feelings to fresh angle and archon. I guess there I can be a little too blunt at times. Thanks for the support too t|tan

Here are some more pictures taken sometime yesterday. A few puppies were found abandoned at Mutts and Mittens a few weeks back and they are now being taken care off. They are now 6 months old and suffer from scabies which explains thier lack of fur.

Toby - Enjoying a snack while waiting for its caretaker to finish her duties at the kennel

Junior - has been adopted by a kind lady. She brought him there that day for a swim in the pool. I wanted a shot to show how content he was (and greedy too )

Thanks for your continued support. Comments are welcome as always.

I like the first one a lot! But the black frame area around it a bit too much, can crop out some.

Heh maybe I should have gone for a white frame instead... I have a habit of adding back borders...

More pics taken today. Model is Purrfect lazing on the balcony in the late morning. Finally had some sun for her to bask in...

Balcony Diva

;) - Mafia cat

I need to practice on dogs soon. Too many cats....

Another cute kitten up for adoption at Mutts and Mittens. A young (1 month? ) female temporarily named Ayoka (means wild spirit).

The compulsory portrait shot

And showing another side to her personality. She is REALLY fast and was like a little furball on some kind of ecstasy so if you wanna adopt her be prepared for it.

She is still a sweet little kitten though. For more details please call Mutts and Mittens at 6583 7371/6583 7372.

Thanks. I wanted the space to balance all the action going on at the bottom :D

More pics taken yesterday. This time we have 3 puppies. They were born out in the streets and have been taken to Mutts and Mittens where their stay is being sponsored by some kind souls. They are all pretty wary of strangers but can be very affectionate. They are a difficult to expose right because of their almost all black/white coats.

Joy and Floe (females) - Floe is the most outgoing and Joy the liveliest. Joy is a little apprehensive as she just got bathed and was cold.
Joy-and-Floe.jpg

Puteh (male) - The most bo chap of the lot. He even let Floe walk all over him (literally)
Puteh-01.jpg

Group shot. I guess I could have done better but its hard to expose for both black and white puppies at the same time ;p

And who can forget little Toby. Here he is again about 3 weeks after I last shot him. The fur has grown back nicely.
Toby-03.jpg

All pics shot with a 18-55 kit. This lens can perform if needed and given enough light. That's all for now. Thanks for viewing.

I like the pic of the 2 black dogs. It's really nice. Maybe can do some DI, it reminds me of some pic i saw in a calendar.....Maybe you can make calendars and sell...........;)
