Hope this is the problem you face:

Under View Mode button on the bottom left of the LCD, select mode under eye sensor or blank LCD display.

After selecting you should be able to select either OVF or EVF using the View Finder Switch Lever.

I have tried that. No response. need to bring down next week to get it fixed. Thanks for the reply.

Yup, i did experience similar observation. It freezes 3-5 times in the past one month. It seems like alot of ppl are having similar issues. Hopefully, Fuji will fix it in future firmware. In my case, it freezes randomly.. no idea what causes the camera to freeze.

Mine "hang" 5-6 times til date too... Random as well. When "hanged", screen shows pixelated stripes of color and need to remove batt to reset.

Also when viewing photo thru SD Card with other formats in them, it just stop there as well...

I called the service center, they tell me to try other memory card. And now I am monitoring with a new card.

Hi i'm a new owner to the x100s and I would like to ask if there is any thing that I've missed out because it seems that the viewfiner selector is not working for me. Is there any setting to be done ?

Hi, have you solved the problem? Make sure you're not in Macro mode. Only EVF is available when you're in it.

I am on v1.0.2 and that's when I encounter hang.

Didn't face any of the issues you described, but will still upgrade the firmware. Thanks for sharing!

Just changed the soft release button to the Gariz Gun metal type. Bought the same one for my RX1. Swee Swee liao.

My Settings:
- X100S original hood adapter + B+W Chrome filter (very blended! Must Have for protection of the lens!)
- Tim Isaac Thumbs Up EP-2S Silver (exactly same colour as body, and helps alot with stable shots! Must Have!)
- A&A Silk Cord with Bump-on
- Gariz gun metal soft release
- Gariz leather Halfcase (Must Have! helps a little on the grip, and easy access to battery/SD Card)
- 49mm Lens Caps (Kept the super nice silver cap at home)

Will show photos when free. Enjoy this wonderful camera!
