It's still not available yet.. Hopefully early march! But we have heard rumors that total number of pieces they produced is only 400 in the whole world.. Don't know how true :/

They shipped at least 10,000 already. The X100 sold 100,000 in the first months.

X100s 400 pieces only? Now that is really funny. Last I checked they were a commercial business and out to make profits. 400 pieces certainly does not make sense to waste resetting the assembly line for the X100s modifications much less the new sensor. They need to amortize all these development costs over as many units they can sell at a decent price.

One factory run to manufacture 400 is does not justify even flipping the switch to on or paying engineers to come to work.

Hmm I think I will still be holding on the X-E1 quite tightly. I hope to see more reviews on X100s as the optics is not at the level of the XF35. That was another feature I was gunning for on the X100s that they improve optics in a significant manner. I think this is the main lacking feature on the X100 series today.

The one I can't wait is the the X-E2 with all the manual focusing aids. That would be a major game changer when paired with Leica M lenses. Recent approach by Leica using CMOS sensor loses the uniqueness of the CCD look and if you are comfortable with the crop level, the future X-E2 could be just as viable.

I agree. Am still holding on to my X100.... Still does a great job. The X-E1s would probably make me regret getting my X-E1 though....
