Fujifilm X-Pro1

Hmm....EVF Freeze when focusing ? I have the x100, did notice this when using. Are you saying this freezing happens only with the xpro1 ? Apologies for the step up in clarification.

Typo, I meant I didnt notice the x100 having this freezing. Are you saying this freezing happens only with the xpro1 ?

Did anyone tried using a manual lens and the evf still freeze? or it only freeze when using auto focus?

it is a matter of time when companies that sit on their laurels will be punished for lack of IQ for their APS-C offerings.

Lack of IQ ? Xpro-1 IQ is no doubt very good, but is it really that much better ? To be honest, deep in our hearts we all know why the Xpro-1 is so attractive. So much so , that we are willing to ignore its short comings.

Put the same sensor, same evf, same interface , in a different body shell -- I wonder will we love it as much as before ?

Say you're talking photos of someone walking.

When you're focusing, the frame will freeze at the first foot forward, however in actual fact, the other foot could have already moved forward.

I wonder if Fuji should just skip the upcoming zoom lenses and give us something like the Leica tri-elmars instead.

Ah...I see. Understand. x100 have that too. But not so bad. Actually even dslr have also same issues if subject walking too fast.

DSLR OVF doesn't freeze because they are, well, just incapable of freezing.
The X-Pro1 OVF also doesn't freeze, just that the AF might not be fast enough.

Anyone here own (previously or present) X100 and X-Pro1?
I used to have X100 but sold it off because I can't stand the AF speed and accuracy.
Is the X-pro1 the same "camera", except with the interchangeable lens feature?

Ha, it's not the "same", although AF is nothing to shout about. I enjoyed both cameras though.

You won't stand the AF speed here also. Guaranteed.

That is good news for my pocket and bad news for Fujifilm.

Yup understand. What I meant was dslr you can frame and focus someone running towards you but between shuttle press and capturing the pic, your subject may have moved a little towards you and hence image maybe be not in precise focus. Depending on the shuttle speed you are on. I assume xpro1 is worst and the evf freezes at the immoral focus distance.

Typo again (stupid phone spell checker), initial focus distance...

Hi,

Thinking to get x-pro 1 to use with manual lens. Understand that adapters are available already. Wanna check if it is easy to check for precise focus if I were to manually focus ( eg nex cameras I can magnify the view in EVF with focus peaking). Thanks

XPro1 will magnify the view also. But there's no picture-in-picture type of display. There's some of a slight quarter/half second lag on the EVF during manual focus, at least for the focus-by-wire Fuiji lens currently.

Hi guys. I find the image quality is too sharp and harsh. Is there anyway to solve this? Filter? Thanks.

gotten my kipon adapter
tested it with a 50mm summicron and a voighlander 25mm
Manual focusing is much more easier compare to the FUJI lens

btw, how do we zoom in on focusing?

Thanks. Would like to check if there is a delay in the viewfinder when manually focus w 3rd party lens?
