Not very interesting changes for me, I get to save money
Nothing I've read so far about fixing the EVF lag in dim light, which is a long-in-the-tooth defect.
I thought I did read somewhere the the EVF lag in dim light is fixed in XE2.

Any indicative price yet??
From Fujifilm Singapore Facebook
Pricing for X-E2:
X-E2 body only: $1499
X-E2/XF18-55mm lens: $2099
Comes with 16GB SD card.
Available in mid-end Nov for sale, and also for hands on in showroom!
Not too familiar with Fujifilm pricing.... they will sell at RRP or the friendly store will knockoff some percentage???
Thanks, guys ! Fuji didn't mention it in their news release, such an important fix. Youtube uploader said it still has lag, but significantly improved.
With that out of the way, reading further into youtube uploader's blog (great writeup by the way), some nice improvements I really like. That puts it back into top contender status for me, being a mostly manual focus user in lots of dim light. For next year, hopefully more time to use ...
* These 1st three are important for me, no-brainer upgrade . These were what I always wanted, what the XE-1 should have been ...
- The X-E1 suffered significantly from EVF lag / low refresh rate especially in low light and the X-E2 seems to have addressed this problem. 20fps vs 50fps.
- "Im happy to finally see a working exposure preview in full manual mode now!" - I am happy too !
- You can now lock the exposure with the A-EL button when Manual Focusing. Aperture and shutter speed can be changed with AE-L on and still maintain exposure.
* Other nice stuff
- minimum shutter speed is now selectable with AutoISO
- The power switch is is no longer as easy to flip open which should solve accidental powering on that was constant problem
- The AE/AL lock button is now independent of each other too for greater AF and exposure control
- There are also four customizable function buttons now Fn1, Fn2, AF and AE
- You can even zoom in 4x in AF mode now by pressing the command dial which could only be done in MF mode previously
- and more, we each have different priorities

Another one - Face detection .. Hopefully I can finally hand my camera to a stranger and he won't get out of focus shots of me ...
Saw from review that apart from features, the camera use more metal parts as compare to x-e1 and definitely feel more 'expensive'. That is nice to match with all the solid xf lens.
The new x-e2 is definitely attractive for users who do not own x-e1 or x-pro1 and who are looking for apsc camera. I am sure many of the existing users here are waiting for more exciting lens and perhaps x-pro2 next year.
I'm waiting for an X-M2 with electronic level indicator (which is actually a need if one shoots from very high or low angles) and 10-24mm f4.
That will be quite a long wait.
errr XE-2 launch already?? Where to go try??? Already got people selling it..... No good??
