I think the BLC-XE1 means Brown Leather Case. I asked 2 shops and they are both offering with the leather case.
Oh you are right! I was misinformed by the shop I bought from. Thanks v much.

My flash mode option in menu is greyed out .. as in I cannot choose the option I want .. can anyone help? or can anyone help me test my camera as in tell me the settings and it should fire the flash so I know if my camera is faulty or not .. e.g open flash, put mode to aperture priority, iso to what, etc etc.
Hope to get some help coz im still quite new to this camera .. have not been using it much coz too busy working.

Hi everyone! thanks for all your helpful advice!
I am using the built in flash so there is no contact I guess. Also, it is not on macro mode, not on silent mode ..
I've also tried adapting my sigma 10-20mm to the X-E1 using a Kipon adapter. Not sure why but the images almost always comes out soft - even if focused using magnification and peak focusing. This was not the case when I used it with my dSLR. Disappointing - the unsightly bulk aside. Can't wait for the Fuji 10-24mm!
