Fujifilm X-E1 User Group

I think the BLC-XE1 means Brown Leather Case. I asked 2 shops and they are both offering with the leather case.

Oh you are right! I was misinformed by the shop I bought from. Thanks v much. :)

Picked up the OEM Fujifilm leather halfcase for the X-E1 today. Love it - the colour, the fit, the battery door - fantastic. Unfortunately it covers the tripod mount, which is a slight hassle.

The strap, however, not as pretty, especially the extensive nylon sections. Anyone has nice straps to show? :D

got a barton and currently waiting for my Aa strap to arrive

The original Fujiflim case sucks though, bought a Gariz case to go with it.

hey guys, anyone can tell me approx how much the X-E1 kit (with 18-55mm) is going for in Singapore? I've been away from SG for a couple of years, but might be back for a bit, and might be interested in some camera gear shopping when I'm around - if the prices are good! I'm not sure where to check online, and calling shops from overseas is a bit pricey! haha. thanks!

hi! need help :(

my XE-1 flash just wont fire .. don't know why .. I checked the manual but still like cannot fire ..

My flash mode option in menu is greyed out .. as in I cannot choose the option I want .. can anyone help? or can anyone help me test my camera as in tell me the settings and it should fire the flash so I know if my camera is faulty or not .. e.g open flash, put mode to aperture priority, iso to what, etc etc.

Hope to get some help coz im still quite new to this camera .. have not been using it much coz too busy working.

Is the contacts clean? Clean the contacts on flash and hot shoe first.
Batteries died?

biogon 35/2 m is supersharp in film, supersharp with GXR, but only decent with XE-1, dunno why. but i know the zeiss touit is sharp, but why buy touit if you already have X 35mm. for me 60mm and 14mm is the most fantastic lens in fuji X

XF35 is too awesome to b replaced by d biogon. Its a nay.

Hi everyone! thanks for all your helpful advice!

I am using the built in flash so there is no contact I guess. Also, it is not on macro mode, not on silent mode ..

uh did you pop the flash up? lol

thanks guys! guess no go for biogon then... i was looking at the touit.. but somehow it doesn't give me the zeiss feel.. oh wells stick to the fuji 35 then.. it's an awesome lens anyway

Beg your pardon that's not a hood you talking about, its just a ring meant for the front cap. And whatever adapter you use makes no different.

Had used this lens , its just too bulky . Infact worst then tokina 11-16mm.

Yes sold both , find that it defeats the purpose of using mirrorless and putting on something like that.....

Best alternative is save up for the 14mm or wait for the 10-something zoom...jmho

I've also tried adapting my sigma 10-20mm to the X-E1 using a Kipon adapter. Not sure why but the images almost always comes out soft - even if focused using magnification and peak focusing. This was not the case when I used it with my dSLR. Disappointing - the unsightly bulk aside. Can't wait for the Fuji 10-24mm!

you guys can check out the other thread with the metabones adapter.

Same thing when i used adapted m lenses, i found out that the RAW is far sharper than the JPEG, i suspect the Fuji JPEG conversion caused this problem.
