I've tried that lens. lol it'll be a monster on the xe1 body. And with the adapter, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure you'd be able to change the aperture?

I am waiting for ages for Fujinon 23mm f1.4.

Agreed that it will be monstrous on XE 1 body.

And thanks to Supersimon27 for the reply.

Yes. But does it measure up to d 35/1.4?

Hi everyone, recently bought myself a Fuji XE-1 and so far have been satisfied with the results, I might be doing more indoor and night photography especially in pubs and nightclubs.

I'm also considering getting an external flash and attaching a bounce card for better results in the pubs and nightclubs. So far I've only found the EF-42 and EF-20 which can be rotated vertically.

Want to ask if anyone has used their XE-1 in similar setups and what they would recommend? E.g. use TTL flash with ISO xxx, or use non-TTL flash (any suggestions welcome) and high ISO with F8.0 and adjust flash manually, etc, etc.

I just tilt the built in flash, enough at office party at least.

How did you tilt the built-in flash? Its fixed in a forward facing position when deployed.

Regardless the built-in flash, I'm using the kit zoom lens and I've found the flash gets blocked by the forward elements of the lens anyway.

Hence why I'm looking at using an external flash.

You can lift the flash to point upwards to the ceiling. The power of the flash is already quite low so when you point if upwards, it'll be even less effective. It's good enough if there's decent ambient light already and you just want to light up the subject abit more.

Try remove the hood ?

Anyone tried the new-released Zeiss Touit lens on X-E1?
Given the many XF lens firmware upgrade, does the Zeiss Touit also need to have one?

just bought XE1 + kit lens combo
so happy with the OOC JPEG result....
my setting is only color +1 with standard type...(not so sure whether its velvia or...??)
but the color is in there...sharp and good details..
im not a prime lens person...and really enjoy XE1 kit lens (18 55mm)

Hi all, anyone can share the current street price for X-E1 with the XF35/1.4?

Also, does Fuji have an external flash with adjustable head (for bounce)?
