The one external flash with adjustable head will be the ef20.. Which is the older model.. The newer model can't bounce..

Did call a few shops but no one picked up the phone. Business too good. 
Anyway I picked up a set yesterday with the 35/1.4. The jpeg colour rendition and sharpness of the camera+lens is amazing. Focusing is terrible, especially when I need to shoot my young ones, but let's see how it fares.
Has anyone used the Nikon SB600/900 on the X-E1. Any experience/tips to share?

have you updated both lens and body to the latest firmware?

have not used any on cam but I've used 580EXIIs off cam.

do you mean Focusing Speed or Focusing Accuracy?
i find the XE amd X-pro to both have extremely fast AF, but in terms of focusing accuracy, they still need to get it right.

Oh I just saw the latest firmware updates for body and lens which promises faster AF speed. Downloading now!
I meant AF speed. The shop I went to recommended me the OM-D instead. Focusing was blazing fast there, almost as fast as my DSLRs, but the images (maybe this is just the Olympus jpeg engine which settings I could have tweaked) just didn't speak to me.

Lousy fit. the battery compartment and the tripod screw hole not aligned properly.
still want me to pay for shipping to return it back to them.

don't know about needing to update firmware.. but i've tried the Touits on the X-Pro1 but i'm quite sure they will be similar..

I am using my X-E1 "naked"..
but i had the Gariz case before for my X100..
well made and fits very well..
if i were to use any case then i definitely will get the Gariz case..

That sucks. Kaza's case definitely appeals the most to me. :S The Aki-asahi one does not have battery door cover though...
I read on the dpreview forums that several people had issues with misalignment, making it difficult to open/close the battery door. Did you have that problem?

ah yes the aki asahi does nt have battery cover. The next best would be gariz i think, best to head down to shop to try the alignment.

I am also hoping for Fujifilm to run a new promo that throws in the OEM leather half-case for free.

i didnt have such problems with my x100 gariz..
not sure about the X-E1..

Had encounter gariz tightening ring will cause battery door not to open full. Need to replace it with screw type knob.

If you purchase the Kit now, you will get the Fuji half-case for free, also an extra battery and cleaning kit. I purchased a kit last week, and can collect the freebies starting today. Selling these items though as I have these already.

I think the BLC-XE1 means Brown Leather Case. I asked 2 shops and they are both offering with the leather case.
