nice choice.
for me i need the grip as i have big hands, so the grip fits very nicely to my own needs.
i will probably remove the L bracket as i rarely shoot in portrait mode, although the bracket also adds protection to the body.
so quiet in this forum, even worse in the X-Pro1. looks like many are selling their sets in favour of X100S, great bargains in bns now.
although the X100S is a fantastic cam, i would still prefer using the X-E1 as a main cam due to its versatility of interchangeable lenses. with upcoming focus-peaking feature, this cam will still be hard to beat.
True..
I am still holding on to my XE1..
In terms of IQ not much diff from the X100s..
And I really love the 35mm lens..
But currently it is neglected cause I got the Ricoh GR recently and i love the portability..
IQ wise I still very much prefer the Fuji..

Indeed. At the current prices, the itch for either the X-Pro1 or X-E1 is back. Now the brain racking part of deciding which body to go for. The upcoming improvement in auto focusing speed is another big draw
get both. HEHEHEHE.
I have both but I use the xe-1 more, cause of remote trigger port
I noticed that Artworkfoto's website shows $1490 brand new set for both X-E1+18-55mm and X-E1+35mm, probably even lower at the popular shops, yet people are selling above that for used sets. They are probably unaware of the price drop. I can feel their pain.
It looks like Fujifilm (and even Sony) cams cannot hold their resale value as good as Big Brothers Canon and Nikon. Let's hope that changes once Fujifilm expands its market.

I didn't realize that those are parallel import sets with no freebies, probably only with shop warranty which is not really reliable. Yes you are right, not really a bargain, and local sets would still be preferred by most.$1490 for parallel import is not really a good deal right? no local warranty and any freebies.
I got the kit at $1788 and it comes with $100 off lens, the fuji leather half case, dry box, extra battery. The freebies are worth around $300... All the freebies are useful to me as I got the 14mm, loved the fuji leather half case.
Agree azzurri should get both. I switched from M4/3 to APS-C, although focusing speed for fuji slower but with no regret. I also sold some of my DSLR lens to fund for Fuji lens purchase.
Hope to see more people joining the Fuji camp.
How much and where u got for kit and 14mm. I just sold off my d800 still undecide to buy second hand or new.$1490 for parallel import is not really a good deal right? no local warranty and any freebies.

there are a couple of minty bodies for sale now at bns, mostly just a few months old at very attractive prices. i would buy there if i were you, and the money saved can be used to top up to buy a brand new 14mm.How much and where u got for kit and 14mm.
