hey ombre where u stay ar ? u sound as if u staying in jurong like that ;)

Exact opposite.

Tampines.

If anyone is going to pasir ris for a shoot do call me along. =X Lots of pretty girls, lots of bugs and theres a beach+nature park there. ^^

for ours its 100.. coz of the pounds conversion lor... lucky you....yrs only 65...

wad you guys think... 100 bux worth it bo? link is back in page 18 i think

Not worth. 100 dollars does not include shipping right? by the time you ship it from UK its going to be like 160.

Anyway I don't think S8000 worth mounting adapter tube honestly. Just my two cents. There are so many newer models coming out, confirm better to jump ship after your camera dies.

At least I know I will still be sticking to FZ18's series after a few more camera's come out. Hope they won't change the adapter size.

Then organize a Tampines shoot lah. Me working at Tampines, stay at AMK. Both locations are ok for me. ;)

Still not worth. I bet somewhere out there, someone would have come up with a 3rd party adapter by now. I mean FZ18 has 4 types of 3rd party adapter (to my knowledge). And the cheapest one was 30 dollars only by emolux. Even no brand-ners are making them!

So yea, have you tried asking the shops about them? I'm sure someone out there will carry.

Alternatively, you can hand-hold your converter or mount them on with masking tape. Do abit of DIY. =X

Look around and see what others do. Teleconversion makes super zooms fun =)

doesn't look very solid. and its a step ring only! thats 6x for a step ring price.

Are you sure the US doesn't have something similar? Anyway if you're going to buy that, seriously consider masking taping and DIY, because it will be 2x more secure. Try supergluing layers of recycled milk bottles together to make a tube and super glue a step ring at the end. Voila, 10 dollars adapter.

SL + problematic salespeople = Biz-as-usual

you can say that again...he somemore give that sort of 'lan si lan yong' face.. i really want to PUNCH him in ther face man.. :bsmilie:

did check ard..was not able to find anything...
what to fellow 8000/8100 users think of this product? can get?

u have a pic of the diy? ;p

before I got my adapter, I handheld both the lens and my camera to shoot. all shots above 1/250 shows no blurring if carefully held.

Up to you lar, but my opinion is don't get. Your next upgrade is unlikely to be within the fuji ultra zoom series.

try asking like AP or the conman shops in Peninsula... sometimes they have but they will try to con you for the price, just be alert.

Btw, whats there to shoot in tampines? -.-
