Hi All,

Newbie ! here just bought the F50FD.
I found this is a great cam with reasonable price :D ...
Still exploring the camera keke...

Really hope to see some photo from skilful ppl :sweatsm:

POST PICTURES! haha...great to have someone else to share photos from this camera, which i think is pretty great so far.

maybe a mixture of some dark.. some light areas. and a mixture of low/high contrast!

if u're free la!
haha

aiya, 'banding' requires certain condition. otherwise it won't b visible.

i say, go out and take more fotos and enjoy ur camera! dun let such thing(unnecessary) worry u and lessen ur enjoyment. :)

yea definitely...if i'm free:bsmilie:
it's not lessening my enjoyment, trust me, i'm enjoying every minute of my photo-taking:lovegrin:

Looks good at ISO 800.

Can notice some banding from ISO 1600 onwards.

haha hihi! :) been a member and user of the forum for quite long but rarely posted haha.. so thought I add some pictures for our fellow clubsnappers to have a look hopefully join in the Fuji fun~ ;) always good to have some actual samples for viewing when shopping around for a camera. Will add more pictures in the future if I have more nice ones. :D

I think with digital, photographers here and elsewhere are making an unnessarily big hoohah over the noise issues.

Sure, we all want images to be as clean as possible. but we are not some image biologists who constantly view images down to the last pixel! On screen and even on print, at ISO 800, the noise is not as exaggerated as it looks.

I always liken it to pimples on face. Models always look nice when you take the pics. but not eveyone has perfect skin. If you use a magnifying glass, you will see imperfections, pigments, pores, pimples, etc. But who in the world view people like that?!

So think we should take it a bit easy on the noise issue.

F50fd is clearly better than the F31fd for its stabilizer and sleeker look. Unless you blow up really huge, you won't be able to tell the diff in noise between the 31 and 50. How often do you shoot at above 800 anyway??

Judging from the pics on screen, can anyone honestly say he or she can tell if they are from the F31fd or F50fd? Assume the poster did not state it.

Heck the images are so sharp, I can't even tell if they are from a DSLR. One reason I forego using a DSLR sometimes.

haha...for me...i only became a member just before i bought the camera so as to see what angles i should consider before buying a camera.

kiwi2>> agreed...at the end of the day, i think as long as one enjoys the learning experience, one shouldn't be bothered by anything else (like when people snigger when i use a big tripod for a PnS). of course that shouldn't be an excuse to keep from improving one's technique.

well...if ur public stats are accurate...it's more than many moons ago haha...i guess this shows how much things have changed...evidently not much

as for me, my F50 pics are in my gallery :)
feel free to visit and comments.

:sweatsm: thank you for your compliment..i hope to do better in the future

i do check out other f50fd user galleries and i do check out yours too. why not post some pictures here?;)

Hmmmm...

After looking at the photos again, noticed that the photos are a bit on the soft side. The sharpness is not there.

i agree they are a little soft...but i think it would be due to my lack of skill? i've been shooting mainly using the largest aperture, so i guess the sharpness have been affected. guess only after a few thousand more shots it'd be clearer whether it's camera fault or lousy photographer fault :)

well, its a pretty common thing in fujifilm f series.... they are not sharp...
