I saw one, it's here, the black version, and this one as well, although maybe it's just the prototype, but it gives you the impression about how the black version would look like..

you'll see the black color, as well as the leather (presumably) case on the last picture..
now i don't know whether to save up for this one or K-5.. I like the versatility of a DSLR, but like the handling and feeling of an RF.. damn.. hopefully the rumor about US$1k price tag is true!

The x100 is like a high performance compact with fixed focal lens which "look" like a RF....picture quality matches with DSLR but the K-5 is a interchangeable lens DSLR so not in the same class. must consider well..i felt that the X100 make a good power pocket camera for daily usage and i WANT it now!!
praying the price hover around sgd1.3k ....

Yup, i am very aware of the different system of K-5 vs X100.
I am thinking of whether to upgrade my D70 to K-5 and forget the "RF" X100 or to keep the D70 and get the X100, so i get both systems..
I want DSLR for its versatility, but heck, more often i want a compact with me for its, well, compact size..
So it's like "to upgrade to a better performing DSLR or to keep the old one and get another camera of another system which presumably performs quite similar to DSLR.."
either way i think the money spent would be in the same region, assuming X100 would cost US$1k like the rumors said..

If i were you i get the X100 due its size plus rumors about its IQ.....when a compact that small and powerful you tends to bring it out everyday to snap every interesting moments you may come across....but dunno why i still using iphone 4 for a daily instant shooter ;p...but thats me lah :bsmilie:

Hahaha! that's why now i am quite confused as to stick to DSLR for its technicality or X100 for the practicality.. yeah, choices suck..
Actually, most people only need 1 digital camera, that's the iPhone. The rest could be film cameras & Leicas... :bsmilie:

Hahaha! True, most people just need one and only one.. But iPhone for me is too overpriced.. I am happy with my LG cookie fresh already, the 2mp camera is quite decent given the low price.. haha!
