hee thanks! Looks tempting but too ex since it cannot be used with other lens.

Well, the camera processing and the lens is so good you won't need to change lens. If you like to zoom then nothing can help you except your legs.

never receive call from HN to collect case.... can I just turn up to collect? who to look for?

Hi Weekh, just go to the counter that sells camera (the most obvious place). Just hand them the tax invoice that they passed to you during the PC Show. They will then verify your details with their list.

I suggest don't go empty handed.

thanks... will collect from HN tomorrow... parisilk also owns me one case...

As requested, the pictures for the casing- SG www.fujifilm.com.sg version (it is on the box). Super tired after driving from Punggol to Jurong Point just to get the cover.

This is done with my white canvas on table top and yellow flourescent as light. I would have used a light box with 2 strobes if I got the time :). I tried to post process to the correct color but my grey card just gone missing. :what:

Here's the full set. The next strap at least look classy. I guess this would be the way neck strap will be designed with the clips at the end so that we can take the strap out before we place the camera to the dry box. Has done this for my Nikons already so that I have more space in the box.

In terms of color, below will be the closest. It is those high class milk chocolate. It is not rich brown but a duller brown. Definitely not as dark as dark chocolate.

This is how it looks like if you open it up for shooting. There is a small magnet in the tab at the bottom of the barrel cover so that it will be snug when you close the cover.

As mentioned, the x100 is NOT on the top but at the back. Sorry for the lousy focusing.

My short review. I guess this has been said in other forums for the case we seen on fujifilm website. This is compared with my Canon rangefinder camera also with a leather casing.

The one thing that I will miss a lot is the tripod plate screw at the bottom and if I want to use this then tripod usage will be the last thing on my mind. Suits this camera fine because it is after all a street camera.
The workmanship is not top notch but at least the stitching is done well.
Material wise it is a bit of a let down. The hard material that forms the shape is not really cut/bend properly. One corner of my lens cover has little parts jutting out. I think it is not real leather as it feels more faux leather and the smell...a bit plasticky.

Ok...i complained lots but since it is free better be contented if not people say I 生在福中不知福 :P

Is this case really free or did we pay for it?..
I think the cost of the case was included in the price we paid for the camera..
Haha..

Anyway.. I attached 2 filters backwards to protect the lens of the camera..
This temporary solution is good and the case still fits even with the 2 filters!

Thanks much for the detail write up on the case, appreciate it. :)

Hi Vengels, I very much prefer this more elegant solution. It is a purposed made UV glass that has preapplied adhesive so that it can stick over the elements. That solves my Macro issue as I don't need to have to remove the filters. Even if I get the lens hood set, it will not be an issue if I add filters

interesting! is there a brand for it? won't it fall off, cos under this kind of hot weather, i have experience of adhesive from double-sided tape failing me at the most inappropriate time...

Thought the case is the usual junk that comes with those digicam until I collected it and have a good look.
Very good quality. Look and feel like real leather.

Asked HN at Millenia Walk but the sales dude said the case has not arrived yet...

sold my extra case for USD 100. :)
