Fuji X10, so pretty!

What about spray paint in black?

What about spray paint in black?

First, while you can, its difficult to do a good job.

Secondly, its still single coated and not multi coated.

Thirdly, for a single coated filter at a cost of 3,000Y (minus shipping) its more expensive than a multi coated filter which is US$26.62 (minus shipping)

Summary: The silver 40mm Marumi single coated filter is not a good option - wrong color, poor coating and expensive. The only saving grace is that for this very very short window (a few weeks), its the only filter you can buy that will fit perfectly on the Fujifilm X10.

R u shooting EXR?

I always feel that EXR gives a funny tone, which I don't like.

Me was shooting in Aperture mode, auto ISO 800, auto WB. Mostly shot in shaded area. Me didn't do any retouch on the jpeg.

provia, velvia or astia? color looks like astia.

that's strange. colour looks a bit weird for fuji camera.

Mind sharing ur X10's settings?

I'm looking at ur "Tanglin Mall Christmas 2011" which the colour is washed out and gives a tint of pink.

I think we will try to avoid that (no offence pls)

Personally I find that provia is actually best for day to day shoot, with a better post proc headroom.

I failed to appreciate EXR, as I find the color weird (weird isn't it?)

Me always set to standard. No offense taken. Happy shooting

how many of you guys actually shoot in RAW.. post process in Lightroom or Photoshop??

I shoot in RAW+JEPG but only edit the RAW file, used to post process my Pic in Photoshop bt now switch to Lightroom, but somehow I feel its not as good as Photoshop...or maybe i not used to Lightroom. Any feedbacks between Lightroom and Photoshop?

somehow or rather, ACR is not that good at opening X10 RAF files and rendering a sharp image (no matter what tweaks done) compared to its JPG files when shot with (RAW+JPEG) mode. only it's SilkyPix is able to postprocess the RAF to attain similar or better sharpness than the in-camera JPG. many X10 owners are experiencing this problem, and hoping ACR will come up with an update soon.

never shoot in raw but adobe lightroom seems to be able to deal with x10 raw file (samples downloaded from web) quite well.

Is there a place where we can try out both x10 & x100? For example, is there a showroom or does Fujifilm service centre have demo units to try?

idk about showrooms but I tried them at Best Denki Takashimaya (Ngee Ann City)... they have both.
however, I have to say that the service is terribly unacceptable. they do not even bother to put the battery in for me to test. the only single word out of the group of them while serving me was 'X10 no stock now'. I tried both CP and SLRR, both have no demos. ended up there.

Just curious, anyone actually shoot in 3:2 format which is DSLR size.. instead of the standard PNS 4:3 in x10?

Yes, I do in jpegs but it will be forced 4:3 when shooting RAW.
