Fuji X-E1 and new compact coming!

Analyse what you need before buying. X-E1 is really not a DSLR, and no way near to DSLR in terms of AF speed.

If you need a camera to capture fast moving sports mainly, X-E1 may not be your top choice. But if IQ is the highest priority, you will be very happy with X-E1.

Try out a set at the shop. If you can't find a X-E1 to test, try a X-Pro1. They are almost the same.

Thanks sir currently I have a slt body planning to upgrade to a99. I have two mirrorless right now and might ditch one or both of them if I get the Fuji, can't afford to have two or three bodies.

I am looking for a very good mirrorless in terms of IQ and noise control and I think x-e1 with its pricing is the mirrorless I am looking and mainly I shoot using MF legacy lenses on my mirrorless so speed wise not really a huge issue for me as long the shutter lag is not that bad...

Will try to poison my self more and test out the cam

not to dump cold water but the x-pro1/x-e1 doesn't seem to be the perfect body for adapted lens... personally I find NEX body is better for adapted lens (focus peaking).

On the x-pro1/x-e1 I feel like I am operating a machine because there are so many steps/ buttons to press before I press the shutter button with any adapted lens.

looks like someone placed the 2 boxes for the x-e1 and the Xf35 into a bigger box. :bsmilie:

not to dump cold water but the x-pro1/x-e1 doesn't seem to be the perfect body for adapted lens... personally I find NEX body is better for adapted lens (focus peaking).

On the x-pro1/x-e1 I feel like I am operating a machine because there are so many steps/ buttons to press before I press the shutter button with any adapted lens.

Does it feels like m3/4? It only have magnification for MF focus assist but there's is a dedicated button for it. Does it not the same with Fuji?

Quite busy recently to post pics, but here are areas that you can doll up your X-E1:
- Original handgrip (a Must for steady shots)
- Tim Isaac Thumbsup (Not available yet - coming soon!)
- Soft release button (help with more steady shots as well)
- Straps
- Filter/hood for lenses
- leather halfcases (Gariz, Kaza all coming out with cases soon!)

With combinations of the above list, you can have a unique X-E1 with your own style. Mine is all black - all accessories BLACK...

I bought a black soft button wif red swarvoski crystal at d centre from Talek. Bling bling? Hope to get a smaller n lower profile one this weekend. Haha
