If i understood your question correctly, pressing the DISP/ BACK button will display the horizon level

I love the big aperture on the prime but the 18-55mm is more versatile and has IS.

First world problems!

A zoom is always useful because it's versatile. If you don't already own the the X-E1, I would suggest that you buy the X-E1 with 18-55 kit (especially if you can get a good price). After that, go for the 35 f1.4 because it is in a class of its own.

I have both the 35 and 60 and am contemplating on getting the 18-55 for my travels.
