FUJI Large Sensor Compact

i was poison by e look of the x100 and i see the spec it is too awesome

I can only imagine the colours that is gonna come out of this little beauty. And I believe this is only the beginning... :D The day they release a interchangeable variant is gonna be a big big news..

Somehow at all cameras released this year, this is the only one appeals to me. if they only released the cost, I should say, this is the one. :)

yup, fixed lens. but as a side shooter 35 f2 sounds good..

So this would be just like a prime lens on an DSLR body? No zoom, no nothing. Will this sell? One is limited. Of course as backup in portraits, family etc... will be great. The design looks extremely exciting - retro, bringing back good memories of Olympus, and others! Yes, if priced below $1k, this is a good prime lens; but comes with a body as well. Definitely worth looking at. Fuji tends to price itself very competitively, and technology wise, is also pretty up to date. Great work!

I was hoping below 1k. But just like all good modern prime at this FL it doesn't go that low.

Yup as a backup/casual cam, it doesnt need to hv changeable lenses. Most importantly compact and good IQ.

As a spare camera - non-interchangeable lenses; help keep away dust and a whole lot of other issues. I have the Fuji Finepix s100fs, and it was a great camera. This one will complement my DSLR!!! I was thinking of the Lumix LX5, but seeing this design, I will wait for it to come out. This is an eye-catching and a "must-have" toy of the year!

I believe this Fuji camera would be an economic price "Leica" :bsmilie:

The specs is very good and the camera is compact enough for me to carry it where ever I go :D

No more heavy DSLR and weight lifting :bsmilie:

Only Sony Nex and Samsung NX10 can compete because they have same size sensor :bsmilie:

Fiak. Just got my Sigma DP2s and this one comes out. Looks perfect sial!

This is a really beautiful camera, looks nicer than my Bro's M9.

Too bad I find all this rangefinder type camera unwieldy. But again, really really nice body.

if it have interchange len it will be awesome

Websites out there are suggesting prices closer to 150000 yen.

from the beautiful retro look of it is reason enough to get one

Yikes! 150000 yen is around SGD 2000++! Almost Leica pricing.
yup.. that is a bit too high..

i think there'll be a lot of takers if the price is ards S$1k-1.2k..

I sure hope the estimated price of Y1500000 (USD$1750) is a wild overestimate (although with a mag chassis and apparently real leather I think Fuji is shooting for the high-end consumer). At that price I can just about get a Leica X1! Which will at the very least hold its value better by sheer dint of the fact that it is a Leica....

hmm, this is seriously tempting...! what a great backup to my dslr now!

however i am worried buy the fixed 35mm lens! meaning that it's neither wide enough for my landscapes photography, or neither tele enough for portraits...
