Was told at SLRR there is a twin offer now. Zeiss touit 12 + 32 $17xx. 12mm alone $16xx. so essentially they are forcing you to take the 32mm for i think $99. B&H USD$999.
Thanks. Review for both the lens are good if not great. Those that made comparison between the 2, flagged 35/1.4 as the overall winner.
XF35/1.4 without a doubt for me.
The rendering of this lens still amazes me. The 32mm Zeiss isn't a slouch but to me it loses in character in comparison. I like the way it manages a pop while having the sharp edges fall off smoothly into the bokeh areas.
I've shot almost every XF lens and yes , only the XF35 is a definite keeper to me.
Just tried the 32mm Touit and 35mm Fuji. The Touit does seem to have better construction and the focusing mechanism seems better overall. Maybe the 35mm set at the showroom was a bit old and needs servicing?
The design of the Touit 32mm is more modern and gives an impression of better construction. Definitely a better buy than the 35mm display set at the showroom. Jokes aside, both are good lenses. Grab a 32mm Touit if it is on promotion. Zeiss would not have made a lousy lens to compete with the highly competent XF35. Just like the 12mm vs the highly competent XF14mm. More choices for the customers will always be a good thing.
Just a question to stir things up a bitAre the Zeiss Touits produced by Zeiss or by a 3rd party lens maker ? Anyway , yeap - both the 32 and 35 are good lenses end of the day , U won't go wrong with either one.
