Pure hike took me 2 hrs. Photo-taking leh, took me 3 hrs even when i u-turn halfway at ranger station.

But if we start 8.00 a.m. its unlikely we miss last light (I hope). The bridge closes at 5.00p.m. so if you not there by the time, yo ucan't get on it anyway.

There is a short cut via a lane along Thomson Road, need to bash through a small path (30 meters) to join the main track (very safe) and you can save 20-30 mins each way, i.e. 40-60 mins return trip. It took me about 1.5 hrs to reach the TT walk.

The shortcut brings you to th main road beside the SICC? Try not to do that... not that the security will do anything, but the stretch that was short-cut has a great stretch with nce things to snap at. I wpould say not to miss the track beside the stream.. many wonderful things sighted - Malayan Blue Coral, Lizards, many squirrels, monekys playing in the stream... durain trees etc.

I have 2 images for critique "Tree Top | Morning Calm" taken about the entrace to the stretch, you may wish to change your mind on it. :)

No, that is not a shortcut. The SICC route is long and hot and nothing to see. You call that short cut???

The short-cut enter via private houses and you get to see all the nice part of the track without the initial slopes.

Great... think i know which one your refereing to now... Thought initially that you were refering to hind exit of SICC- yup, this one is a "dry" place....

Anyone interested in going to Raffles Marina for shoot? Looks like a very nice and very 'European' setting within Singapore... reminds me of places like greece etc..

How about on 14 July (Sat) 3pm till sunset?

Not sure how accessible the place is...

Hi Brand,

Thanks for the nice suggestion! ;) I am interested...but as we can see from the link, it seems that the security are quite strict. Timing 3pm till sunset sounds cool but I am not available on 14 July (Sat)...Is it ok to organize it for the week after, 21 (Sat) or 22 (Sun) July?

hmmm.. security.. i saw the threads.. not too sure where their security stands: one pg says ok - guard smiled at him somemore, another one says no no - guard chased him out. anyone have any idea how secured the place is?

I'm not available 21 July.. how about 22 July (Sun)?

If kena chased out, anywhere else around Raffles Marina that we can shoot? I guess if we go wide angle from outside the restricted premises, can still capture the boats and lighthouse right?

I'm finally back in town and will be around for a while. When is the next outing?

How about a causal outing for coffee and sunset shoot in upper pierce?
