I know it should be on the Events section, but I feel us Alternative guys should especially be aware of this upcoming workshop which shares some techniques which we can use with our alt camera!!!

There are two workshops, one is free and the other on pinhole.
So come for this free workshop, according to the organisers, Shannon Castleman who would usually charge $500-up for her workshops has decided to charge it almost free.
1. Free Workshop
Date : 17 and 18 Oct, Friday and Saturday (2 days)
Workshop Title : Illuminated Night Long Exposure Ambient Light
Venue : 8Q, Singapore Art Museum
Time : 7.30pm - 10pm (2 Days with different aspects)
To Bring : a camera with a shutter mode program and a tripod
Theme : to explore long exposures, long shutter lags with available light.
Facilator by Shannon Castleman who is currently a visitor lecturer with the NTU Arts Design Media Department. Not sure the other details but you can check the website.
2. Workshop Title : Lens Less Photography : Pinhole camea and cyanotypes
Date : 19 Oct 2008 (Sun)
Time : 10.00am3.00pm
Venue : 8Q Courtyard, Singapore Art Museum (SAM)
Price : $38 per person for material cost (cash payment upon arrival)

Using the sunlight and simple materials workshop participants will learn how make stunning images. This workshop will start off with participants experiencing the earliest photographic invention, the camera obscura. Then using hand-made pinhole cameras and lens-less wooden box cameras participants will have a chance to create their own unique images.
These images will be used as negatives in printing process known cyanotype that makes vibrant blue prints with just sunlight and water. No prior experience with photography is needed for this workshop. Conducted by Shannon Castleman.
