The gps may have remember it's last location as in Singapore for a warm start.

Well if that's the case then its fine. But I dont see the point of using HD video when SD can do the job and give you higher range. Also for FPV in this range a Phantom wont cut it as normal 2.4 ghz radio range is limited. For the video below you need UHF frequency range which can give you ranges like 30km+ and may not be legal as its power output is high.

First time i brought oversea taty surprise cant detect gps even after the compass calibration was done successfully.
yes, it was in a city area, in between building. mine polar GPS can detect, but not the phantom.
